I don't see the gift picture link that you click for their latest bundles when you want to send a gift, so this is still fine, it will spit out a key string

Nope, previous bundles still give you the keys that you can redeem on steam, unlike bundles now.

And if you don't believe us, you can always unlink your steam account from your humblebundle account before clicking the thingy. If it asks you to link it, then don't, and you'll be OK.
