Number of users

I didn't check how many users there were until now, not sure what happened.

I think some users get invites though, so maybe the number will slowly increase this weekend.

Speaking of, anyone know how to get invite codes? I was kind of hoping putting a contest up would get me one because I have a friend I'd like to invite, but that's not the reason I put up the contest so it's no big deal. Just curious.

Nope, you're not insane, it was at 3,600 or so the other day, before I updated the query for calculating the member count. Previously, it was including the count of unverified members. This means those that signed in, that either had an account valued under $30.00, or those that did not have an invite code, were being included. That's now fixed, so the number represents the true count of members who successfully completed the registration process.

I think it dropped too. So I don't think you're insane. Anyway someone will eventually confirm this.

EDIT: I'm half a minute too late.

CG gave out Invites to the Members from SteamGameSales.com and added the reddit code to get a lot more people over here. I guess after the first active week he will slowly increase the invites, one by one.

Dont know if you have to earn them or if they will be spread out equally. We'll see, I bet no one but CG could come up with this point system, so Im sure he will find a great way of spreading some invites :D
