Have you tried to check the game cache? I never had a crash, but the first time I installed the game, it didn't install properly.

Crashing: I have had the game crash a few times on me, about 5 times over the past 20 hours of gameplay. But I think with my problem is that I keep minimizing the game, use an xbox controller, and play on a laptop.

Skip cut-scenes: No clue how to do it with mouse/keyboard, because I am using an xbox controller, but I press "A" and then it tells me on the screen to press "A" again to skip

My framerate got terrible everytime after I alt tabbed. The game really doesn't like it for some reason.

The crash the OP described: only had it ONCE of the 25 hours (or something'ish) I played it. And even then I think I caused it but can't remember how.

About skipping cutscenes: Try hitting Enter twice.

Let sleeping dogs lie.

I don't see how the fact that they're sleeping allows them to be dirty liars.

Never had a problem with the game myself. No clue what's going on with yours. Hope you get it fixed though.

If you're stuck in the loading screen try to verify integrity of game cache.

Follow this steps and tell me if it worked:

  • From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
  • Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache... button.
  • Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.
  • Once the process is completed, the Check Window will automatically exit.

Just kidding... Try to set anti aliasing to the lowest possible setting if you haven't done that already. It's a performance killer in this game maybe that is what makes your game crash...
