Sleeping Dogs Crash to Desktop?

Crashing: I have had the game crash a few times on me, about 5 times over the past 20 hours of gameplay. But I think with my problem is that I keep minimizing the game, use an xbox controller, and play on a laptop.

Skip cut-scenes: No clue how to do it with mouse/keyboard, because I am using an xbox controller, but I press "A" and then it tells me on the screen to press "A" again to skip

Never had a problem with the game myself. No clue what's going on with yours. Hope you get it fixed though.

If you're stuck in the loading screen try to verify integrity of game cache.

Follow this steps and tell me if it worked:

• From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
• Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache... button.
• Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.
• Once the process is completed, the Check Window will automatically exit.

Old pc/directx/video driver/old cracked steam

My video driver is up to date now and still experience the same problem so there is no solution i guess --'
