No, it could be if Notch liked, but they like to be fully independent, is cool that an indie game don't uses any DRM even if it's Steam.

But there is no Hunger Games in this game....I see you don't know a lot about Minecraft, survival mode in Minecraft is just one of infinite things. Also you saw Aether or Twilight Forest mods for Minecraft? Aether is one of them most epic things ever created. I just installed over 53 mods in Minecraft to play it :D, I have another folder with 40 mods installed including Shaders mod with SEUS Shaderpack. Cuz the last year I only play different minigames and Hunger Games in big servers, a single minigames Minecraft server can have up to 16.000 players with multiworld system :D, it can have more...but I never saw more than 16k connected in one server.

I still love more indie games too, Don't Starve, Skullgirls, Binding of Isaac, etc But hey we will see in future fans of Space Engineers making a mod about Space Engineers Survival mode in Minecraft xd. There is even Team Fortress 2 with Team Fortress 2 Minecraft maps game mode, and it's not bad, but not better than Tf2.

I'll second the Mark of the Ninja recommendation then. It was my downloadable game of the year on Xbox. I need to dust it off and play the DLC now.

the fun thing about it is even if you fail you keep the stock you have so if you know your not going to be able to win then buy all you can and live in a box for a while eating cat food it will all be a dream soon enough
