DVI because hdmi doesn't run above 60hz.

HDMI 1.0 runs at 60MHz in 1080p. If you are using 1.3 (Card, Cable, Monitor Capable) you can get 75MHz @1080p.

DVI 1080p. I don't need the audio relayed to my monitor so I have no reason to use HDMI. I do have both options though.

1200p - DVI because I don't have HDMI cable

DVI and HDMI, because when I bought my 1080p monitors, DisplayPort was still rare, plus my old HD 6850 had only these outputs.

I use a mini DisplayPort because my laptop only has 2 of those + 1 HDMI, and I prefer the smaller cable :)
My display is a pretty classic 1920x1080x2

DVI my display supports it and I prefer DVI over HDMI because I had sync issues with HDMI in the past

I only use DVI with my old Gainward GTX 260 GS 448-bit. I mostly use HDMI, DP and mini DP across several devices in connection with a 49" 4K display (3840x2160) @ 60 Hz used with software to seamlessly split it into 4 virtual displays or with a 45" passive 3D display for immersive multimedia experience. I voted for HDMI because it's the one I have the most cables for :).

DVI port with VGA cable (using a converter) because i could not find DVI cable , 1080p

HDMI @ 1920x1080 on my main - Don't have a DP cable.
DVI @ 1400x900 on my second screen - This monitor only has DVI or VGA and my 1060 definitely doesn't have a VGA port.

2 Hdmi and one DVI
and whatever AV cable the Dreamcast uses

Well, Dreamcast could be composite RCA cables (red/white/yellow), or S-Video, or RGB SCART, or VGA if you've modded it. :)
edit: or RF if you're a masochist :P

its Composite, the console probably came with one of those.

Dreamcast supported VGA officially, though the VGA cables where hard to find (specially the official ones). The game had to explicitly support VGA mode, though, and a good amount of games didn't (I'm looking at you, Skies of Arcadia) :(

Ah ha, I never used VGA w/ Dreamcast. For some reason I was thinking it was a mod but you're right, it looks like there are a lot of VGA cables/boxes out there. I'm personally using a RGB SCART cable hooked to a Framemeister. :)

dvi port to dvi-vga converter to vga cable to monitor, 1280x1024

For a long time I used the DVI port with a DVI->VGA adapter, because that was what my monitor supported, but when i got this screen a year ago, I switched over to HDMI. Why? Well it works better.

Old screen was 1680×1050, new is 1920×1080

I would use display port, if I could.

Why you switched to HDMI? Coudlnt' you use DVI => VGA => DVI?

That way you could keep your old cables / adapters instead of throw them away D:

We bought FHD / DVI monitor to my father like 1,5 year ago and he insisted on connecting it via VGA cable.... as he didn't want to spend few € on digital cable

I did not throw them away! I stored them in a box. And I don't have the right adapters to do what you suggested, but I do have two DVI->VGA adapters.

DVI, my screen only supports it, so why mess around with converters?

Main monitor: Display Port 1920x1080 @144hz - Because 144hz
2nd one: DVI 1920x1080 @60hz - Only have DVI and HDMI ports left on my graphic card and I had a long enough DVI cable
3rd one: DVI->VGA adapter (cheapo monitor, only supports VGA) 1366x768 @60hz - I dont have much of a choice

I would use Display Port for everything if I could, but then I would have to buy a new graphic card and a new monitor.
