Can someone describe Red Orchestia? Some call it a simulator..? Is it comparable to the REAAALY old Medal of Honor series? Better? Please tell me what you think!

It aims to be a realistic WW2 FPS. You get shot pretty much anywhere and you die. The HUD is very minimal and for example you can only check the amount of ammo you have in your magazine by taking the magazine out and then putting it back. You can also choose to manually reload bolt-action rifles between each shot, but that's optional.

It also has a game mode which is more like other FPS games, but I find the most realistic game mode to be the best.
EDIT: The game I described is RO2. I haven't played the first one.

You won't die that often, if you play it properly and don't just run around. You need to stay in cover and move short distances at a time. You should also avoid open areas.

The single player is pretty crappy. It's basically just practice for multiplayer. The levels are exactly the same.

I didn't play the single player that much, but the first missions were mostly just defend this spot or go capture these buildings. The storyline is pretty much non-existent as the missions were just some battles (possibly real and/or famous) between nazis and soviets. I think you get to play with both so there aren't specific bad guys or "heroes".

hardly. but it is much better at what it does than like L4D, dreadful. i used to run Killing Floor 2.5 servers before this new one came out, even that is still a game(mod) i'd recommend.

You just need to pay attention and try not to kill your teammates. Of course, not starting to say in the chat that the game is a shit, impossible and such, as some do, also help.

Yeah i hate it too. Especially if the players just kick off noobs. Everybody can be hell of a player if he learns the basics, but its kind of flustrating if they kick you in yoour first hours of game which is new for you...

Funny. Today arrived the Killing Floor Gold Edition I ordered from game.co.uk. For ~10$. Oh well. But at least I have the uncut edition (that's why I ordered in the uk), as it seems the bundle keys are the cut versions for German buyers (like me). Think about buying Red Orchestra at least (even though it's also the cut version apparently...).

Bastion was good, but the THQ and now the Tripwire bundles are awesome. Wonder what the humble weekly sale will come up with in the future...good times ahead.

Because they contain inappropriate content for users below 18 years of age.

It's allowed to sell uncensored games in Germany, as long as the seller (in this case Valve with the Steam store) does verify that the buyer is 18 years or older.
Valve's "please enter your birthday" page is not enough - and since Valve does not take the time to implement an age verification that complies with German standards, the games in the German Steam store are sold censored.

Edit: in this case the seller is Humble Bundle, and they don't have an age verification, either.
