So no new bundle today. As usual, let the ridiculous conspiracy theories commence about it being due to the Humble Monthly every time there isn't a bundle. The fact that the next one is more than 4 weeks away from going live is besides the point. And never mind that everyone crying and complaining every time probably already have more games in their library that they could ever realistically play.
That and let's just blame IGN for everything, even though in recent months we have gotten more free games more often than ever in the history of Humble....

Nope, they obviously want you to save money so you can spend them in their next xmas sale !!!!11!111!!

Not that the fact that there is no regular bundle today would in any way, shape, or form be a deciding factor into making someone buy the Yogscast bundle, because as we have seen it's generally one camp of people that contribute to bundles like that and another one entirely for the regular stuff that primarily are only looking for deals (and generally are spoiled and ignorant of just how good they have it). But sure, go right ahead though if people want to attack a 100%-to-charity bundle. I mean, how scummy it would be for them to promote such a thing...

The hell are you yelling about? Even before IGN anyone was able to forward the payment 100% charity. This is nothing new and nothing to thank IGN for.
Comment has been collapsed.
True, but unlike other bundles this is unilateral and automatically applies to all purchases. The point is that IGN/Humble are getting nothing from the Yogscast bundle, except maybe good PR. Let's at least be fair and give them credit for not changing that or for other positive things rather than simply conveniently dismissing them.

Charities are a common tactic for corporations to avoid taxes. so "getting nothing" from this except PR is not entirely true. Furthermore, if IGN would be truly charitable, why not donating directly too? At the end of the day, the ones giving the money to the charities are the common people.

They just did with the Humble Care Package Bundle not 1-2 weeks ago when they gave $300,000. Funny how that goes conveniently ignored and forgotten (and others in the past). It could have very well been this bundle rather than that one. As far as I am concerned that is arbitrary semantics. Lest we also forget the planning that has to go into such a bundle and the cost of running and hosting it, both from organizational and technical standpoints, not to mention providing support. It's not like those things have no cost.
Anyway, people should set aside their illogical hate that has no basis in empirical evidence but rather stemming from their own skewed irrational perceptions and instead try to keep an open mind about being impartial, not prejudiced. Unless Humble/IGN starts taking actions and making changes that are grossly anti-consumer and that are clearly documented and/or provable and not merely conjecture or wild speculation, then the comments we get here every time there is no new bundle on a Tuesday are complete frivolous nonsense.

You call me out about ignoring things, yet you only argue a single point from my entire comment. In what world is it illogical a common business practice of evading taxes by using charities? It is not irrational at all either, just another way to make more money.
The ethics of it though, that is what bothers me and corporations shouldn't be allowed to do this. Empirical evidence? hahaha, a simple Google search will provide you articles and studies from reputable sources documenting this practice. Now, for the sake of you not "losing" this argument, of course you will ignore all that and we are going to enter into an endless loop, from which I do not want to take part, thanks in advance.

It's really sad how prejudiced you and other people here are that it won't let you see beyond your preconceptions. Anyway, I really I don't know why I waste my time talking to people on the internet. There are times where it seems like I am frequently reminded that more often than not it's like trying to have an intelligent dialogue or to reason with a glue-sniffing cocaine-snorting orangutan driven by wildly irrational tendencies.

Again, you call me irrational and yet you need to use ad hominem... Wonder if you even know what a logical fallacy is... Well, have a good day!

blah blah blah there's too much air coming out of the wrong hole when you speak. You should change your pretentious username btw so you will no longer subject yourself to ultimate irony. Veni Vidi Vici..... hahah anything but. Have a nice life!

Please folks, lets not ruin a perfectly good argument with personal insults.
Professionalism is always the way to go :P

Well, beside the fact you spend $0 on Tuesday Bundles, so "why not use that money to buy Yogi?".
a 100%-to-charity bundle
I prefer the "100%-to-tax-break bundles" name for them.
I wonder if devs get a piece of that tax break...

And after the 2016 Yogscast that was 30$ and was so good , with good games , the new one from IGN have more DLC and some other stuff , than games for steam ... so everyone can see the difference ... also the new Codemaster bundle - there is a DLC`s for Dirt 4 , without the game , where before there was DLC for game that its not in the bundle?

Here's an idea for cross-selling:
Humble Bundle with some/all the games that the Jingle Jam is giving DLC for.
If you bought the JingleJam, you're almost certain to buy the bundle. If you buy the bundle, for the base games, you're almost certain to buy the Jingle Jam.
It's win win!

I bought it, even though I regretted last years.
I just liked the idea of a "grown-up" advent calendar...something to look forward to each day.
But then I looked at the leak. I couldn't not.
And then I got excited about the Tales from Candlekeep...
And it turned out to just be DLC :(

Same here :(, and the exact same reasoning, minus the leak even.
Yesterday I was kinda hyped when I saw the Tales from Candlekeep unlocked on my phone.... Here's to hoping they'll at least bother to throw those missing games in the january monthly :/

I could really go for a Humble Indie Bundle today. It's been awhile since the last one, so maybe?

Anything is better than a Racing or Manga bundle! Well.. unless it's another Sega rebundle :P
Comment has been collapsed.
My worst nightmare ;) I actually enjoy racing games, I just don't need 10 of the same one :D

They had a horror one not too long ago, so you should be OK there.

RPG bundle would be great. Of course, we're assuming there will be any bundle at all!
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah I agree, and not because of some humble bundle conspiracy, but rather because most game devs aren't going to agree to bundle new games if there's a chance they'll get some people to buy them at a higher price on the sale.
Comment has been collapsed.
Hmm good point. Or something with a lot of DLC, I guess we'll see which of these cynical viewpoints is right.
Comment has been collapsed.
I half agree. Developers could also choose to bundle the base game. Hoping that some people will buy the full bundle at higher price during the wintersale.
Simple example: the free offered base game: company heroes 2. They are hoping that some people will love it after playing the gane and buy the complete bundle at steam
Some people pay more money, because of certain donations
Comment has been collapsed.
Payday 2 is awesome example. They gave the game away for free. Hoping people would buy DLCs. Dont know how that worked out. And then creating one master edition that costs 40 bucks and has all DLC already in it. And take away chance to buy DLC
s seperately.
I myself bought some 7 DLC`s I already didnt have because I liked the game. I doubt I was only one.
And this WILL be done by any dev/publisher that has the chance to milk the consumers.
