Based on the bargain prices in the Steam Store, I'm betting that when the sale ends, the next actual Humble game bundle will be Predator vs. Aliens (timed with the release of the new movie). A re-bundle of Isolation (top tier for DLC) with the AvPs and Colon Marines Complete and some other filler that sort of relates to the franchise.
In other words, more meh.

Do yourself a HUGE favor and save you money. Colonial Marines was a steaming pile of crap. Worst $2 US I spent on it on Amazon a while back. It was SO bad that it's the ONLY game I have hidden in my library because I never want to see it again. If you have it yet, get Isolation.

The other ones I have. I know Colonial Marines is the worst of them, but at 90% off I'd be willing to risk it ;) (I wouldn't get around to playing it in my lifetime anyway, most likely ....)
But that not all that unlikely Humble Bundle Landhammer suggested is probably enough to tip me off the fence on the "good side" ;) Money won't be saved, though, it just goes to a different (hopefully better) game instead :P

Apparently with some mods, it has improved a lot. I read this on steam reviews:

Version 4.5 of his mod is a light in the darkness. It is a revelation. The game went from horrendous, poorly rendered crap to a beautiful landscape and smooth textures. The AI went from being the dumbest creatures to ever exist to ACTUALLY hunting you. You know, like a xenomorph would. The gameplay tweaks, the balancing, the improved difficulty, the visuals, everything about this game once you have installed the TemplarGFX 4.5 mod and Cilitbang's Bug Hunt (No Mercs/No Dino Heads/Welding Enabled) mod is what the game SHOULD have been at launch. A little sad that it's taken us four years to get here, but here we are.
If it is on sale, snag this one. Hop over to moddb (dot) com and look for the TemplarGFX mod. Look for the Cilitbang Bug Hunt Mod. Install them. Tweak your .ini. Blow ♥♥♥♥ up.
If you are feeling really frisky, download Cilitbang's ReShade profile for Templar GFX and your screen gets transformed into the helmet cam just like in the film.
3/10 Console version
5/10 without mods
8.5/10 with mods.
9/10 with mods and friends that actually play Bug Hunt.
I decided to get the Colonial Marines collection at $2.99(90% off) after reading this and other reviews praising the mod. I already have the other Aliens Collections including Isolation.
