Out of these I would personally recommend Binding of isaac rebirth, Octodad, Rayman origins/Legends, Monaco, Ibb & Obb and probably a lot more but thats all i could think of from the top of my head.

Trine 1 & 2, Castle Crashers, Battleblock Theater, Sonic All Stars Transformed, Metal Slug 3 & X are some that comes to my mind.

Also i heard Towerfall Ascension is fun.

Payday 2 is grind,but most people are OK with it. And people usually help you.

DieselStormers is an often over looked local co-op. Haven't got around to playing it yet but it looks pretty cool.

I've gotta recommend Crypt of the Necrodancer. But I've never hooked it up with a controller so I can't comment on that.

Metal Slug and Super Smash Bros!Nothing beats them to play with your family.

Rayman Legends is one of the best there is.

I'm always looking for co-op games to play with my brother. Made a list of the games we have played so far and had fun to the ones we didn't enjoy so much, that doesn't mean the game is bad.
