After playing the pirate version I'm happy that my impulsive buyer didn't win the battle this time. For what I've seen there's nothing to do in the game, at least not yet. Just roam around the whole world killing crap to level up. Also, the skills are terrible. At least for mage and archer.

you can add the poor performance of the game. My computer gone nuts when I started playing, not even running it in 1280x768, without anti aliasing and the least fov possible did the trick. Consuming too many resources in my opinion. (for comparison purposes, I run Skyrim almost on ultra, with some mods, high res textures, etc, and my computer doesn't stress as it did with cube world)

No, I haven't. I got bored of running around a massive map trying to find low level shitty mobs that take ages to kill for just 1 exp when it takes 50+ to level up. If I wanted a grindfest I would still be playing MMO's rather than a shitty voxel game.

Yeah, that's why I said 'there's nothing to do in the game, at least not yet'. I get that it's alpha and all, it's just not an alpha worth $20 imo. I would have probably got it if it was $10 though.

First and foremost, I just want to say this. You are judging how fun the game is in ALPHA, where you should have been reporting bugs and testing mechanics. I see you have some hate already on this game. Now that's aside. This game is absolutely designed for MP, SP is gonna be more of a grind. Although seeing your comment, you are doing it entirely wrong
1) if you're killing a mob and gives you 1xp, then you should try killing other mobs then. Common sense logic there especially if you played MMOs. Also:
Now that your simple problems has been answered. Here what I can say, you haven't scratched the surface on what you can fully do in this game's alpha. You are just whining on basic things
if you are complaining about:
Then I would understand that you already burnt out the fun on this game's alpha.

Yes, I am judging how fun a game is in alpha, and so are you. Alpha's stopped being a place to actually help in development long ago, it's just a marketing strategy.
I've roamed around the map and I've yet to find quests, teleport portals or mobs that give over 1 exp and don't 2 shoot me. I don't care about moving faster around the map, it's still the same huge ass map with barely any monsters in it. Even if I did manage to find any, I still have to deal with having ridiculously boring skills to use. I got bored of running around and finding nothing.
This might be because I played the pirate version, I don't know, but I'm not willing to pay $20 to find out. Specially not after what I've seen so far. I rather buy Terraria for half that price.

yeah and where did you assume that alpha stopped being a place to help in development? oh ofc, you don't participate on early access forums (not community hub). I see you own unepic, but only played 0.4 hours. Tell me, what game did you participate and actually reported bugs and gave suggestions?
Look at
1) Dota 2: I was the one who exposed valve having a super bad random % mechanic, provided community with detailed stats and graphs, they were forced to implement PRD system. Also look at the 1k bugs reported in there
2) Diablo 3: Community helped expose some OP skills on characters, I focused on mage (unli freeze, glass armor)
3) Kerbal: omg, have you seen the mods that are overflowing on a alpha game then devs pick the idea to implement in the next patch?
4) Minecraft: another game that gets ideas on mods
5) Blade symphony: listens carefully to the community to balance the game (Community already exists before being put in early access)
6) Skullgirls: they use emails to report bug reports. Already sent 3 big reports for crashes w/ reliable repro
Next time don't assume things when you obviously don't participate on alpha and betas

I have no idea why you bring Unepic up. Single player has been finished for a long time now. The only reason I have it on steam is because they gave free keys to people who purchased the game before it was greenlit. Maybe because multiplayer is not finished, which is why it's listed as an early access game, but I never intended to play multiplayer on unepic. I bought it way before multiplayer was even announced.
As for alphas and betas, it's not an assumption, it's a fact. It obviously doesn't apply to all cases, but definitely to a big percentage, if not to the majority. It's now a way of getting early fuding and a marketing strategy.
Look at dota 2, only 1k bugs reported on a game that has constatly 300k+ players.
Diablo's beta had nothing to do with the released game, they removed a bunch of features and made part of the testing useless.
As for Kerbal, mods have nothing to do with testing, and the same goes for minecraft.
Blade symphony and Skullgirls might be the exceptions here, wouldn't know because I'm not into fighting games (and also because Skullgirls charges $36 for their beta).
I've participated in many betas lately (towns, gnomoria, path of exile, the mighty quest for epic loot, under the ocean, etc) and I can safely say that in the majority of those cases, the idea behind beta was to get funding or to get the game some attention.
You can keep arguing all you want, it won't change how things are. Just because you and a very small percentage of the game's playerbase report bugs, doesn't mean that the idea behind the beta/alpha was to find bugs. It's just a side effect which benefits developers even more. They get funding, and if someone helps find bugs, even better for them, but the main idea is funding.

The only thing that even resembles Minecraft is the art style. And even then, they are pretty different. You should research a little before making statement based on looks only.

Do you guys know when the game will come out of Alpha?

So far everything about the release dates on anything have been unannounced. Mainly due to the technical difficulties that wollay is going through with attacks on the games servers :(
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, saw the problems. I'll wait until it stabilizes a bit.
If you'd have to guess, what would you say? 6 months before beta? A year?

Someday I may actually be able to buy this before people crash the site.

thats also usually when the attacks on the game servers occur, making them crash lol

gtfo it is then, either that or your going to be waiting a longggg time for it to release on steam XD

even though the fact that you are dumb, I agree that the dev is arrogant stating that he doesn't need help from others (not releasing on steam). So I cheer on ddosers to continuing ddosing the site until wollay snaps and decides to release it on steam or he finally fix the ddos attack completely.

I was actually one of the lucky ones that got it the first day it came out.

haha nice! i got it a few days after the actual release, but better then nothing right? Hopefully more people will get the chance to buy the game also.

It is so cool to hate on good games that everyone likes.

The site is at the moment under a DDoS attack and while that's not fixed, Wollay turned off the registration.
Try not to keep refreshing the page (F5) constantly because you're just making it worse.
You can check some of the details here and when things are up or not.
