Terminator: Salvation NOT! lol, that movie is meh

Check Dawn of the planet of the Apes, Zombieland and Maze Runner. (3 very different concepts of the post-apocalyptic landscape)

Also I want to watch Dredd myself.

Oh yea! Morph told about it in his latest shared GA with Awsm Sauce, I am planning in joining in, just have to see if I'll be able to make monthly GAs :)

PS: Salvation isn't that bad, but isn't that good either... it was an 6/10 for me, very average

Mabye a little bit too special, since it's also an anime adaptation (very loosely based though), but Casshern is really great in my opinion. It doesn't actually start in a post-apocalypse, but the downfall is happening during the progress of the movie. It left me really shaken up.

World Gone Wild is a classic, for the cheeseball post-apoc fans. One of the weirdest of the post-Road-Warrior films - desert, outposts, fall of humanity, etc. - it features an insane cast including Bruce Dern, Catherine Mary Stewart (one of my favorites), Michael Paré, and Adam Ant, of the band Adam and the Ants. Whether you'll find it good or not depends on what you like; I'd call it essential, no matter how you end up feeling about it.

The Road. It's based on a Cormac McCarthy novel. Be prepared to be traumatized.

+1 for Wizards, but it's a cerebral movie which challenges the social and psychological justifications for war. If such things bore you, then stay away.

Two good calls.
Testament is a slow but great movie illustrating the subtle cruelty of radiation. Everyone should watch this with their family (then give them a hug).

Fist of the North Star and Akira
If you like cool shit then you need to watch these. Even if you don't like anime they are great. I used to watch them when I was a kid. Great films.

The Last Man On Earth is basically The Omega Man, except with Vincent Price instead of Charlton Heston.
