No giveaways, just poetry.

Tools: Souncloud/Vocaroo/Whatever (just don't make me download the file that's a pain in the ass and I won't be bothered.)

My poem of choice was The Loch Ness Monster's Song [clicky!] by Edwin Morgan.

Edit: To clarify I'm not offering to read your poems I'm merely asking you to read poems for me. In exchange for mine.

Spaghetti, spaghetti, all over the place,
Up to my elbows—up to my face,
Over the carpet and under the chairs,
Into the hammock and wound round the stairs,
Filling the bathtub and covering the desk,
Making the sofa a mad mushy mess.

The party is ruined, I’m terribly worried,
The guests have all left (unless they’re all buried).
I told them, “Bring presents.” I said, “Throw confetti.”
I guess they heard wrong
‘Cause they all threw spaghetti!

I'll make an exception and read this one because I like it and I feel like it.

A toodle; a tattle
A little yellow rattle
Dropped by the baby
Bit by the snake
Watch as little baby
Convulses and shakes

A pittle, a pattle
A herd of grazing cattle
Chewing some grass
Train; wildly driven
Cow-smelling gas
Tipped into oblivion

Some weed would be nice
Got any spice?
I'm dying for some kush

Over in that bush?
Better be some hash
Hey, that's not a...(crash)

Roses are red.

Violets are blue.

I came for tits.

And so did you.

Roses are red.

That much is true.

But violets are purple.

Not f*cking blue.

I can see what you see not—
Vision milky, then eyes rot.
When you turn, they will be gone,
Whispering their hidden song.

Then you see what cannot be—
Shadows move where light should be.
Out of darkness, out of mind,
Cast down into the Halls of the Blind.

One of my favoritr poem:

Sleep brings no joy to me.
Rememberance never dies.
My soul is given to mystery,
And lives in sighs.

Sleep brings no rest to me;
The shadows of the dead
My wakening eyes may never see
Surround my bed.

Sleep brings no hope to me,
In soundest sleep they come,
And with their doleful imag'ry
Deepen the gloom.

Sleep brings no strength to me,
No power renewed to brave;
I only sail a wilder sea,
A darker wave.

Sleep brings no friend to me
to soothe and aid to bear;
They all gaze on, how scornfully,
And I despair.

Sleep brings no wish to fret
My harrassed heart beneath;
My only wish is to forget
In endless sleep of death.
