Sounds like a neat idea to help, but as a man of few words (well depending on the subject or mood) my reviews are usually short and simple, i don't think a whole epos usually is needed in a review, for some it might, and some already make more extensive reviews, but i am just more straight to the point.
Anyway good luck.

Thanks Lugum.
Short reviews are not a bad thing and we have a few reviewers who only write short reviews. There's nothing wrong with being concise and to the point.
If you were interested we could try and work on your reviews a little so that they have a little more structure and have some key points. The main thing is that we want to know why you liked it or disliked it so the devs have an idea of how to improve their game, and potential purchasers have a good idea what the strengths and weaknesses of the game are. You could always do a short negative and positive list and elaborate on some of the main issues for example.

I do always try to point out the negatives and positives (a really active helpful dev on the forum is already a big plus in my book).
But i always struggle with formatting, the boxes, so i never done that and you can easily help out a bit and give pointers, but you can easilly check my profile also and some of the reviews i did, didn't know i done so many already.
I just do have a lot on my mind (i hope some rest is coming, but it's a thing going on for 3 months now) and offcourse i already have a big backlog with 11000 games, so i have to give your reviews a priority in the mix, while keeping some time for my own backlog,
But if you can help out, and there isn't any hurt in trying, if it doesn't work we just end it, nothing is lost.
You do keep in mind people's genre interest? Like i would hate roguelike games and tower defense, but you can let me try and indie (platform) and especially point and click adventures, i just love them.

You get to choose the game you would like to play so you can choose whatever genre you like. We have games in all categories.
There are no deadlines or amount of reviews you have to do in a certain amount of time, so if you would rather play one of your backlog games then that's cool. If you're inactive for a good while I might just message you to see if you still want to carry on.
We would rather you had fun gaming than stress about finishing reviews, but saying that we do expect a review for any game you take, just do it in your own time though.
I will try and message you over the next few days as I am working a lot this week. We can just see how it goes :)

Offering as much information as possible about the processes you have established for your group of reviewers would probably help your cause.

Hey! I'd be interested. I don't have experience, but I'd be more than willing to give it a shot! Here's my profile: link
Btw most if not all of the reviews i've written weren't really serious, but obviousily I'd make the reviews on your curator page more serious

I think the best thing to do, as you have no experience and your current reviews are very short, is to provide you with some games and see how you get on with reviewing them. Once you get confident doing that, we can move you into the review team where you can choose your own game.
Does that sound okay with you?

Hi, also interested into being a reviewer, already to 20+ reviews for a steam curator group with 16k followers, This Group, all last 6 reviews were made by me.
Mainly interested into 2d plateform, 3d plateform, arcade racing games, hack'n'slash and action rpg, not interested at all in horror games and point'n'click games.

Hi GreekHobo
I have just updated the description with all the relevant info if you could have a read please.
We don't have any deadlines, but the quicker you write one, the quicker you will be able to choose another one. I won't be hassling you about finishing it though. I would rather real life comes first.

Well, I've read updated info.
As long as there no strict deadlines, I'm in.
If you're still in need of reviewers, here's my link.

There are no deadlines for the reviews as such but we have decided that if anyone is inactive for 2-3 months then we will contact you to ask if you still want to be in the team. We had quite a lot of inactive reviewers so we have had to bring this rule in.
Obviously, reviews would need to be in English, but something like your Narcos review should be fine, although we try not to be rude or too blunt, so perhaps you could use a better word than "sucks" for example. If you are still interested I'll provide you with a key for a game, like some of the others we are trialing, and if you could do a review for that one, we will see how it goes.
I have a few people to talk to so I'll try and message you in the next few days if that's okay. Thanks for your interest.

Well, writing reviews for myself and writing reviews for a curator group is a whole different thing.
It goes without saying that more appropriate writing style should be used.
As for the language, I'm bilingual, so writing in English should be no problem.

Hi,
We run a small, friendly curator on Steam called IndieGems who provide honest reviews for the latest Indie games.
https://store.steampowered.com/curator/32732116-IndieGems/
We currently have over 12k followers and get a lot of interest from indie game developers and publishers who send us their games through our curator connect.
We are getting so many games coming in that our review team cannot manage to keep up with the demand, and it seems a shame to let those titles go to waste when indie game developers rely on the support and exposure a curator can provide.
I am therefore on the look out for new reviewers for our team.
If you have a passion for reviewing games and are interested in joining, please leave a comment here with your Steam profile link and I will be in contact with you to discuss.
If you haven't done any reviewing before but are interested in starting, we can still accommodate you by providing some older games so that you can practice your style and get the feel for things.
I wasn't really sure where the best place to look for interested reviewers was. I had a look around Steam for people who post reviews without much success, and then thought of here. Is there anywhere else that anyone knows of that might be suitable to recruit reviewers? Thanks.
It has been suggested that it would be useful to offer a bit of background info on our curator and the process, so here is a little bit of what to expect.
We specialise in indie titles and 99% of our games will be indie, so an interest in indie games would be beneficial. These still involve some of the top publishers and developers in the field so we do get some great games, and at the moment we have 2500 games in our curator to choose from.
I don't believe in a training camp, so if you have been doing reviews, and they are of a sufficient standard, then you can come into the review team.
If you have never done reviews before or your reviews are short and not up to the minimum standard then we can provide some keys for you to practice your reviews on. Once you are confident and I am happy with the standard you are producing then you can come into the team.
Once in the team you will be able to pick one game from the list and then provide an honest review which can be negative or positive. The main thing is that we want you to provide some feedback on what you liked or didn't like and why. You don't have to be an expert in gaming, as not everybody is, so just commenting on the game is enough to help developers and purchasers. We only ask that you remain professional and refrain from being rude in your feedback. The only rule we have is that you ask me before taking a game. If you are found to have taken one without permission you will be immediately banned.
The review can be in any style you like and any length you like but it should provide enough feedback so that it is useful.
There are no deadlines for reviews, but saying that we only want to keep active reviewers, so if you haven't contributed anything within 3 months I will probably message you to see if you still want to stay in the team.
Once you finish the review, we ask you to post it to our curator. If you already have a curator we are happy to work with you, and you can post the game on your curator too. We just ask that you put the Indiegems link to our curator somewhere in your review. This is an excellent way of getting games for your curator if you are finding that your curator connect is a little bare.
That is it basically. We are a very chilled curator relying on people to be self motivated and honest. I don't hassle you at all and believe that it should be a fun experience. Obviously, I will go through it all with you and show you how to do things if you don't know how.
