2.Has it ever caused any of you major problems with steam or other things on your computer?
  2. is it worth is ?

The only thing to look out for are what games you're running while it's on. It's recommended to not play games supported by VAC protection while running IdleMaster or else you may be banned.

I honestly just wouldn't run it at all while actually playing a game. It doubles the time cards take to drop and sometimes buggers with the program from what I've noticed in the past, getting stuck on specific games until restarted etc.

  1. No, it doesn't need a lot of resources, at all. You could easily forget it's running in background.
1.2 No problems ever, and I farmed more than 2k cards with it.
Just to be safe, try never having IdleMaster running when playinc VAC-enabled Games (although I don't think no one ever got VAC banned due to IdleMaster, but better safe than sorry). In fact, I never run IdleMaster when I'm playing any game on my account.
  2. Well, it is worth it if you have a lots of cards to drop, ou just don't want to play the game to drop.

Yes, don't use idle master with csgo, tf2, this vac-enabled games. Furthermore, if you're running more than one game, you'll not receive any card, will only increase the playing hour.

Program basically uses no resources. It just tells Steam you're playing a specific game. It doesn't launch anything, the games don't have to be installed or anything.
And there's probably no danger in playing VAC-secured games while IdleMaster is running, but there's also no reason to test that hypothesis thoroughly. Further, when you're actually trying to get card drops you only want to be running one game at a time anyway.

Valve knows that this program exists and that people use it and they probably do not care.

I think it does. I don't use that feature.

Playing games that use VAC is fine. Any potential issues will come from using it whilst connected to a VAC secured sever as VAC doesn't apply outside of those servers.

I mentioned VAC because another response or two here mentioned it. Still, I'm not sure I understand what your comment means.

Using Idlemaster whilst playing any game is safe even if that game implements VAC because VAC doesn't actually apply until you connect to a VAC secured server. Idlemaster doesn't actually connect to any servers, it just simulates the game running.

Now I know what you meant.

I know it's safe. What I was trying to convey was, "at your own risk," not because of my ambivalence about its safety but because then no one who downloaded a trainer or whose little brother did something, whatever, can come back and withhold (or not know about) that information, and try to blame me because I said it was safe.

So, to be clear to anyone reading this, yes using Idle Master isn't going to get you a VAC ban, even if you play a VAC-secured game while it is running. But you can only try to prove that statement true at your own peril.
