i have three dogs (ellie, tobias, marlene), five cats (hubert, starburst, cuddles, wally, eve), and a dove (berwyn).
of those animals, i think i like berwyn the dove the most
because he doesnt try to start fights like the dogs and the cats
i didnt even want all these animals i just kinda inherited them all at once help me

My avatar speaks meows for itself. I like about cats what I like about people: independence and dignity. There are exceptions of course on both sides. I tend to like huskies or German shepherds because they are smart and (generally) dignified.
Some of it is just practical: you can leave a cat for a weekend if you need to (well, most cats). You might have to pay the consequences, but it can be done. You don't have to come home early from a party because you have to let the cat out to take a dump.
