Don't several US and Korean cities get gigabit fibre?
Still, I won't be getting any higher than 50mbit for a while yet on account of living in a small town :(. Have been promised ~300mbit within the next 4 years which is awesome.
Could be worse!

I'm in Chattanooga, TN in the US. We were the first city in the US back in 2010 to get gigabit. As of last year we are the first city in the world to have 10 gigabit available to every household in EPB's service area. And that's 10 gigs up and down :)

for UK it's pretty good. compared to the village on the arse-end of nowhere where I used to live it's mind-blowingly amazing

80 mbps download/15 mbps upload for Time Warner Cable.
Edit: So OP, how long is the waiting time to download a large game such as GTA V? 5 minutes. :3
Edit 2: The closest thing to your results is when Google Fiber arrives to my area in the future... hopefully.

I'm not at home now so I can't test, but I know my upload speed is utter rubbish.
I'll probably get the cheapest fibre optics I can get when my current ADSL contract expires. Need it for when I work from home.

Can't believe it surpasses that of some people in the UK and other more advanced countries.

Spain counts as second world?
Because it surely feels like a third world country when it comes to, well, everything (which makes it even more surprising that I got those results).

No political party has tried to make any fixes on either culture, lack of investment on industry and investigation, or education either.

Indeed, it is the same Mogán. I'm living in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, having been born here myself.

Probably, but it's hard to prove. I'm just downgrading to their 25 Mbps internet only package for now.
There is a company in my city called LightSpeed, which provides 1GB fiberoptic internet for $50/month. As soon as they branch out to my neighborhood, you can bet I'm cancelling Comcast in a heartbeat.

Mine's all over the place since it's through a dish :/ Today it's slow: http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/5451948676 Wish I could have fiber, but it would cost a ton of money :(

Gaze into the 3rd world and weep. Fastest I could get is expensive 100mb capped fiber (which would get 60mb if I am lucky).
