I'm through with multiplayer, no more, besides when I played those few times (first CS) with friends I ware always last :P. However yes, I know you have a large CS counter, so I'm really sorry to see that the game that you've enjoyed so much has been ruined by micro transactions.
As I see with the past-yeah I'll be like some kind of grandpa. Those 15-20 years ago people ware mostly focused on providing good product, now I feel focus shifted much more towards large profit at all cost.

i dont give a crap about the skin or cosmetic, it's not affected the gameplay
it's not like with skin you hit harder
but when they release new case, i always play to get it
for profit

What did you expect from this game at first really. What was the point of releasing the same game with the same game engine. After Tf2 experiments it was pretty obvious that CSGO will be a big e-sport and cosmetics mumbo jumbo.
But, to be honest, I dont think people were expecting so much milking from Valve.

I have 3.8k hours in Dota 2 and 100ish hours in CS GO, so I'm familiar with Valve's business tactics.
Personally I despise the update as well, ever since the graffiti patch (a few months ago).
At the very least, they don't turn it to +2 damage or something, so still not pay2win (their main excuse to get away with it, or I always call it - tactic). I guess in that sense it's stil ok.
However, this puts me off. So never will I again spend money on CS:GO, ever. The reason why I still occasionally purchase stuffs in Dota 2 is because I like it - and probably people who like CS do the same thing as me in CS. Nothing's wrong.
The bigger problem is in CS, though. It's a B2P game, unlike Dota. There's more... how to say, indications that they really want to milk CS:GO's popularity by adding, albeit no gameplay effect, cosmetics like this very recent big patch. In that case, people's tolerance is lower than would be in Dota 2.
I'll just see how things going. This is not enough to stop me playing CS altogether, but with the rise of Overwatch interest, for me, I'd rather play OW for FPS and Dota 2 still for MOBA. Those two alone are enough to keep me busy and put CS off for a while.

The last time I've played CS was when there was a 1.6 behind it, not GO. Also dunno about toxicity in public matches or whatever, I always deactivate ingame chat. But it's nice to see how that circle of stupidity and greed works, maybe Valve just tries to somehow reassure kids that they'll be part of a pr0gam0r team like SK or mousesports (dunno who's on top now, don't care :x) just by wielding a virtual knife with a 500$ skin in a 10$ game. Like some sort of "At least he tried" medal.
I bet they could've made HL3 ten times, just with all the cash they got from market transactions. :]

I guess they have trouble figuring out how to make Half-life 3 a successful skin/hat selling machine, and that's holding them back from finishing and releasing it ?

I swear I watched a video in the past with someone saying that the future updates will include gloves, glasses, grenade skins, shoes, stattrak maps, and many more, but then he said "it's just a joke, don't hate me". He was just joking, but the new glove skins are here. So, will we see glasses, shoes, etc. too in the future? xD

I don't have any problems with skins, since it does not affect gameplay at all. I had a pretty big inventory and I liked the skins I had, but I got a bit tired of csgo so I recently sold all of them on opskins and ordered HTC Vive for the money I got for them. :)

The gloves are just another cosmetic, while it is weird and entirely unnecessary, they're not THAT bad. In the future they just might add face mask and the option to create your character entirely. And if that happens... well that just wouldn't be CS:GO anymore. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE creating characters. But CS:GO doesn't need it. It doesn't matter what your character looks like, not even the skins truly matter (that's kind of hypocritical of me- I show off my skins all the time XD) but people are making this as a fashion show instead of just playing the game which sucks. The gloves are fine for now, but if we get any more new cosmetics that aren't weapon skins, I think it's going to go downhill. I'm just glad that there are still actual weapons inside of this case XD So at least they did something right about these gloves. Plus... I must say, I really like the look of the Moto | Boom! gloves :3 They're going to be expensive for some time though, I'm sure. But I don't exactly know.. I can't seem to find any gloves on the market yet.

Jesus fuck. Thank you, for some reason it just wouldn't show me any damn gloves XD

I probably should have thought of that XD
Also, you shouldn't let something like gloves stop you from playing.... unless you mean that they are focusing on cosmetics instead of gameplay, then that is understandable :3

Yeah, I know. Sometimes there are just bullshit headshots that I get hit with, or even hit other people with, all the time and it doesn't make sense. And instead of fixing the actual guns, they fixed the GUN SOUNDS. Like, come on. What the fuck. We'd like a fair game, please. It's almost starting to seem like the guns themselves aren't equally good, some are better than others without even a chance for the person with the worse gun to win a gun fight. It is ridiculous.

Yeah I completely agree with you. Sure, skins are fun, but they need a lot more focus on the actual game. At least it isn't broken, but it's nowhere near perfect either.
Did you at least have decent skins to make money off of now?

Holy fuck!!! You're so lucky, that is sooo expensive!!! And holy shit you have a lot of graffiti xD Damnnnn case hoarder too XD But DAMN you're gonna make a lot of money holy shit. Lucky fuck! My whole inventory is sadly only worth $131.64 ;~; Saving up for dat Stattrak Crimson Web Karambit that I will never get, though :3 I only need a few more knives to be able to trade for it.. so far I only have 2 shitty ones XD

Oh jeeze, drunk luck XD
Hehe Stattrak gives me bragging rights.. my oldest gun is called Dragon Dildo and has 23,801 kills on it :3 XD That, and it also lets me feel good about getting a lot of kills too xD

I had gotten my dragon dildo for free from a friend at the time and i could only play csgo at his house because i couldnt run it on my laptop (this was before he gave me his pc that I have now) so I figured I'd keep it, and it got more and more kills and by the time I played it enough to be able to get a new one, I didn't want to because it meant something to me. Same with the rest of my guns. Once I named it, it was mine forever. The only thing that I would trade is my Bloody Circumciser knife for that karambit I want. Then I'd remove the name tag and buy a new one with the same name for the karambit because I still love that name and the only reason I have my gut knife is because it's my second favorite knife and there was no way I'd be able to trade for it any time soon so I figured I'd get my second favorite knife to use for quite some time.
Oh riipppppppppp, that really sucks ;-; what about csgolounge? What are people offering there?

Oh damn, nice! Good thing it was your brother, at least you know he's not a scammer :p
Yeah, that is true. Stupid scammers >:(

I don't understand why so many people are against skins. A bunch of my friends stopped playing Counter Strike because of the skins. If you don't like them, you don't have to buy them. What is more, a lot of CS:GO players wanted the skins for gloves afther they were used during some tournaments. I do realize that there are other major issues with the game that shoud be fixed. Nevertheless, I don't think that the same team of programmers would be responsible for the anticheat, 128-tick servers, operations and skins. Therefore, they could improve the rest of the problems anyway, without giving up the creation of skins. I don't really play this game anymore because I used to play at semi-pro level in Counter Strike 1.6 and I feel bad when I am loosing in CS:GO to people who are not really that good... It makes me really sad. ;x And I don't want to devote too much time for practicing anymore. So I just watch games between professional teams - and a good anticheat is really needed because it is becoming hard to watch... Pls Valve ban them...
