Announcement via Twitter

For ASF users: !addlicense asf 262718 (thanks MelNef)

If you are for some reason unsure if you want this game, this was a nice appetizer on Twitter:

Get this game! It's free! I don't care how intimidating it looks, it's a Murder Telenovela Simulator! It's the best game about incest, murder, satanism, and feudal laws that you will ever play!

Sprite packs, e-books, in-game music, tools for transferring data to other games. A lot of it isn't even needed.

... and I'm so sad I lost the list someone very kind made of 'required' DLCs... :'(

Good thing I wouldn't have the money anyways thanks to Factorio. \o/

Here is a good DLC guide: https://www.strategygamer.com/articles/crusader-kings-2-dlc-buying-guide/
Personally I'd replace The Reaper’s Due as one of the essential expansions, with Charlemagne.

Goodwill and to get you to buy DLC. Humble and the companies giving away games there are not doing it to be kind either, it's simple marketing. The good kind, I think, but still, they are doing it to earn more in the long run

At least with Humble we know it, Paradox it's a like a wolf disguised as a sheep

Paradox are quite fond of money, but it's also one of the most transparent companies out there, being very open about their strategies and even talking about them in videos they put out, not hiding the fact that yes, they're in it for the money. In comparison Humble is far less transparent.

But really, what is there to know here? They're giving out an older title for free, in the hope to earn some goodwill and extra sales in the long run.

Thanks! What a great freebie.

For those who played both, is the first game still worth playing, now that I have this ?

They are fundamentally different and both great. If you don't mind the graphics or UI from CK1 and you don't own any CK2 expansions, both games are worth playing.

Thanks, I'll be sure to give CK1 a go before playing this.
