I know your pain... I got roped into the whole pre-release euphoria... and then: BAMN bought it and barley played it.

Really? Thats surprising. . .

I love TBoI, what with the whole sacrilegious theme, coupled with the seemingly endless amount of items, and random dungeons. . . Never really gets old.

shouldn't have bought star wars kotor on steam since i already played it and there are plenty of games i haven't played that i should. oh well, it was cheap and my first digital game purchase -- now i know better.

i'm not sure buying the indie royale ninja lightning pack was worth it (though i haven't tried it yet, so maybe i'm wrong).

similarly, i felt sort of dirty paying for the indie face kick bundle since it had such a ridiculously high minimum price, but once i had the idea of playing dead horde in my head i didn't want to give it up. hope i'll at least enjoy playing that...

I'd agree on Clear Sky, but the Chernobyl and Prypiat are still great games. Just a bit involving.

Clear sky is the one i hated the most, but i dunno why i feel like the game is a bit overrated.. I think is just not my style of game hahha

Well, clear sky was crowned as the worst one of the three; even in terms of engine performance. Also, I never liked the faction combat system. Zero Punctuation actually does a good review of it on the escapist website (it's one of his earlier ones).

-1... 2... 3... KICK IT! (I thought it would be a fun game to play, ended up being extremely bored with it.)

-Audiosurf (I got it when the hype was large, regretted it)

-Binding of Issac (HUGE HYPE BONER, Coudn't click 'Buy' fast enough! Even got the soundtrack! And then I turned on the game.... 'ohhhhhhhh')

-The Sega pack with Crazy Taxi, Sonic Adventure, Space Channel 5, ect. (I had some serious nostalgia excitement happening when I bought that pack on sale... It turns out, some games you remember playing that were awesome... should stay as memories).

-DEFCON (Seriously... I never won a round in that game yet, and I find it so goshdarn boring I can't bring myself to ever try it again).

-DOTA 2 (I actually regret WINNING a key. I hate this game with a passion after trying it out, and I'm not a fan of the original DOTA, LoL, or HoN. That, and the amount of RL rage from friends who are jealous or wanted key invites from me... ugh!)

-Dungeon Defenders (Seriously, HOW MANY DLC PACKS AND UPDATES IS THAT GAME GOING TO SPAM YOU WITH? It's not even that fun!)

-Dino D-Day (Got this in a Royal Bundle... I can't tell you how stupid it is... Someone who loves this game should seriously re-evaluate his rating system... that or play NecroVisioN)

-E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy (Bought the 4 pack during the Christmas sale... thought I'd play with friends, games too repetitive to play, I never get past the first map... EVER.)

-Earth 2160 (Bought it for 5 bucks... Played the campaign until they wanted you to do the impossible, uninstalled it. Not worth playing, I'd go back to 2150 in a heartbeat)

-Flotilla (I get it, your indie and experimental... But why do you have to be SO experimental?! It's like this game is going to jump out at me with a mixtape and an acopolco shirt)

-Global Agenda (I had a boner trying to try this game, Arena base MMO combat in a future setting with Jetpacks?! What could be bad about that? Turns out... almost everything.)

-Left 4 Dead 2 (I cannot... CANNOT... get into this game. I don't know why. I like everything about this game, yet when I play it... I have to shut it off after 15 minutes cause I'm not having fun.)

-Monday Night Combat (I still can't figure out which part of this game I hate more. The goofy feeling, the console based arena/tower defense combat, the everything, ect. Seriously... huge waste of my time)

-NecroVisioN (Whoever said Zombies and the Third Reich should go together probably LOVES Dino D-Day).

-Men of War [All editions] (#$%@ YOU, Almost every mission I loose all my damn people... but no more then Vietnam. I don't know wither I actually SUCK THIS HARD or the game SUCKS THIS HARD, but loosing ALL your people in the first mission... in the first 10 minutes of the game, is WRONG.)

-Peggle Deluxe (Why the hell did I BUY this game?!)

-Shattered Horizon (No-one plays. No-One. Plays. NO-ONE. PLAYS. I thought this game was tits! Hella Cool! ect. Then I saw the multiplayer.... "ohhhhhh")

-Space Siege (I cried... They haven't made an alphabet with the kind of letters I would need to express my rage at the franchise making this game)

-Star Wars Jedi Knight DF II (I got nothing against the games themselves, I'm a huge Star Wars Nerd... but Steam: IF your going to sell something for money, Make. Sure. It. Works. This is by far the worst game on this list in terms of support, with people flocking to old pre-98 forums for tips on how to get this damn thing to run, let alone try and bring the resolution up; I bought this pack thinking I'll play my childhood Jedi Knight games again, and ended up never turning on anything past Academy)

-Stormrise (Right.....)

-Theatre of War (The funnest part of this was realizing every single polish unit's reply was just "Tak Jest" in a different accent. It actually became a running joke with my friends.)

-Twin Sector (Holy... Hell... I'd rather play Dino D-day or NecroVisioN)

-The X Collection With Albion Prelude (I... don't know what to say... and I had no idea what to do in that game. I consider myself semi-intelligent... At least with the capability of deductive reasoning... To this day I have no idea how to play X3: Terran Conflict. Maybe I was looking for Freelancer or Freespace 2... or Wing Commander. What I found was a game so bogged down in everything about itself I couldn't find away to make the game appeal to me, or even decipher it. When you have to go through large menu systems and button combinations to get basic functions of the game to work, that's not good design)

-Zen Bound 2 (I was blazed when I bought this, thinking I could align my chakra with my chi [or something like that]... I couldn't get a refund no matter how hard I tried. This game is a testament why I don't drink/smoke and have my credit card near me)

Special Mention:
-Garry's Mod (Ok... who here has ACTUALLY played this longer then, like... a week? I bought this thing for full price way back when cause I thought it would be one of the funniest things ever... Now: I have no idea why this game even exists. Yep, sandbox do it yourself God universe where you can make everything and anything. Problem is, I realized through this game that the most creative I was ever going to get was attaching planks and rockets to a toilet to make the worlds first "Brown Bomber". It's a realization I would have liked to not happen.

You sure like getting boners, don't you?

Also, I agree with Movac, everyone I know who has played GMod has played it A LOT. I'm nearly at 700 hours, and I got it last July. . . The thing is, you don't just play sandbox mode, that gets old fast as hell. You have to play one of the other hundreds on online game types, my personal favorites being Trouble in Terrorist Town, Semi Serious Role Play (also known as DarkRP), and Zombie Survival, respectively.

1...2...3... Kick It: even the steam page of that says that it's not a full release. No wonder it's boring.
And really, it feels like you just buy stuff without looking into it and then complain that it's not what you want.

The game is in an alpha stage, not sure how they're able to sell it as a complete game. During the Xmas event someone traded me that game and something else for my copy of Sanctum and after trying it out I saw it was not a finished game. It seems like the developers abandoned the game but before they did they were able to sell it as a full game, make some money and forget about ever finishing it.

BF3 + MW3.Wants to make it simple 1 of them's net code is completly broken as every other series and they have a core multiplayer designer named Demize99/Alan Kertz(Who doesnt know a single think about a multiplayer FPS).They said we never gonna be them but as i said they turned to them with EA lead.(Kit DLC's,bullshitting on community and never listening etc etc etc).Plus an annoying EU community manager named Zh1nt0.(US CM Crash x10000 times better then this immature person.)(I dont want to loose my time on this sh*t anymore while listing bugs.So im passed their annoying bugs(/lightning/contrast/black_White/color grinding etc etc etc)

And other is same as previous release also they got annoying/greedy/bulls** publisher which fired(For just claim all earned money) real developers who knows whats multi FPS is.Yeap they have got some prob. on MW2 i didnt like it too but still they are best FPS developer for me.**

For FPS ,Im just waiting for Respawn Entertainment release.

I want to say it's COD: BO, but I can't. Even though I couldn't play it for about a week, I still like multiplayer (it was not so good as mw2 was, but after 80 hours I understood it's still good). But no, it was Fallout 3. Not because of the game (I really like it), but because of shitty russian support for this game. It's retail version with removed Live. We couldn't install any patches (they just didn't work!) and any DLCs. And we didn't have DLCs in Russia officaly (no localization, no support). Then Fallout 3 GOTY came out, we still didn't have any patches or DLCs. We got it next year after GOTY came out (Fallout NV was almost done)! And I didn't bought it. I tired to wait. Tired so much, didn't even complete this DLCs then finally got GOTY. Still like this game, though.

Battlefield 3. Sooo much hype, motivated me to build a $1500 computer and now almost 6 months since release date, still not a finished game. No in-game voice chat? So many little bugs/glitches that they will NEVER fix makes it questionable to even call it a game.

I feel you on that man. I went to the pre-order, release, scrounged up as much cash as I could. Load it up. Oh look battlelog, thats new, and aweful. Then get to playing, and all the bugs. it was fun for about a week... then the crashes started happening. Boy do I regret getting it. The shame of it is, the battlefield series is my favorite of all time..... ea ruined the whole thing by making 3 subpar, and killing off the servers on all the other games except heroes. Damn shame

JUST on Steam for now, I'd have to say GTA Vice City. Already finished it, so why did I rebuy it? One of those life's mysteries, I guess.
Also, Poker Night at the Inventory. Yes, it's a fun little poker sim, but it's not worth the price. It really isn't.
And Space Channel 5 Part 2, of course. Should have bought the whole set, rather than two individual games.

Well there will be some titles:
-Counter Strike: I always love online fps, I lost so many hours on ET, Quake, Urban Terror, SoF II (!) and others. So I though I would have a lot of fun with CS... Yea... :P Never understand what is so special in this game.
-Counter Strike: Source: This is kinda funny. I would like to buy key for Orange box and when i activated game on steam I got CS :| Fortunately seller give me key for OB for free :)
-NWN 2: It wasn't bad game, but I regret buying it so fast for so much money. I thought It would be great title as first part was. Well it was 'only' good.
-Loki: I bought it and play it only for sth like 30 min.
-Dungeon Siege 2: very bad purchase. For me one of worst h n's I've ever played

COD: Black Ops and BRINK. I actually liked BRINK, but it was so buggy that people stopped playing it. Within a few weeks you could barely find 1 or 2 full servers even though they fixed most of the bugs. Game testing, how does it work? :P

Left 4 Dead 1 - Second one came quite faster and if i knew there would be a sequel so soon i woudent have bought it.

Mass Effect 1 - I bought because my friend told me it was good.I coudent get into it , didnt like the TPS aspect , wish it was possible to go FPS and TPS with a click of a button.

Osmos - Played it for an hour.Didnt find it fun.

Red Faction Guerilla - I was hoping for a FPS game.I dont like the TPS view

Shattered Horizon - So bad.Its a Zero-G FPS game.Map colors are brown for asteroids black for everything else because hey its space and HUGE amounts of bloom.
