cant install some steam games

so certain games it wont let me install as title says. the other week kings quest was free and every time i click play game to install it gives me a pop up saying scanning steam games update. i looked on google how to fix and nothing worked so far....

Ehmm... This section is for bugs/suggestions in Steamgifts, not Steam...Write to Steam support or check Steam discussion forums for that game.

1st Episode was free to keep, have it in my library also.

ya and i googled why it happens and the fixes never worked, so at this point i guess i should talk to support. id like to play that and dungeon defenders 2 again :/
