What's a percentage? I think people who don't understand chances to win don't understand percentages.

Even when the chances of winning were laid out in black and white with an "expected wins" figure, there was still no shortage of card-carrying lobotomites who whined and moaned that they had entered over 20 giveaways since joining, and had lost all hope of winning a game.
You can take a moron to maths, but you can't make him/her ingest its meaty goodness...

"I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobomoty!" Not really relevant but I always enjoyed that quote and coincidentally am enjoying a nice bottle of Founder's Porter

I've seen many complaints from people who say this site is a scam, so I decided to make this post for you to see what are your chances of winning depending on the amout of entries giveaways have.
Giveaway with 100 entries:
Your entry = 1% chances to win -------------- 99% loss ratio
Giveaway with 200 entries:
Your entry = 0.5% chances to win ------------ 99.5% loss ratio
Giveaway with 500 entries:
Your entry = 0.2% chances to win ------------ 99.8% loss ratio
Giveaway with 1000 entries:
Your entry = 0.1% chances to win ------------ 99.9% loss ratio
Giveaway with 2000 entries:
Your entry = 0.05% chances to win ----------- 99.95% loss ratio
Giveaway with 5000 entries:
Your entry = 0.02% chances to win ----------- 99.98% loss ratio
This shows that you need to be really lucky even for winning a 100 entries giveaway.
SteamGifts has lots of members and that's why it may seem you'll never win, but just be patient.
Remember this post the next time you enter a giveaway!
In any case the site could be renamed to TestYourLuck.com huh? Hope this info was useful!
