Auto Hide giveaways for games you already own?

Well, there is an option for it, isn't it?

Account -> Settings -> Giveaways -> Hide giveaways for games you already own?

Dude....

You can't enter the games that you already own (unless it's a DLC or some kind of bundle) and if you don't want to see them you can check the option to hide all GAs for games you own.

You have the option to auto-hide giveaways for games you already own, and you can't enter for games that you have even if you can see the giveaway. The exception is for games that steam does not report correctly (like Star Wars Rebellion), and for collections.

I think it should be the default option instead of it being hidden in a menu, yes.
But... I thought you couldn't enter giveaways for games you already own any way? It doesn't let me.

So... what's the point of this post again?
