my pleasure, but be wary, it has a Mario Party vibe to it, so things might get heated and competitive

Ah yes, I think I got that one at the same time as Battleblock Theater but haven't played it yet, great suggestion, thank you :)

Damn you, just seeing that name and "You can never unhear the slapping clown theme"

I actually bought all 3 of the Trine games when they went on a huge sale, didn't realize they were co-op. Thanks!

yep, local and/or online, and there is both a mode that allows anyone to pick any of the 3 Characters, so you won't be constrained to having each one of you a different role. So you can mess around with 3 wizards and 3-6 or more magical wizard boxes etc.

The Jackbox Party Pack is also loads of fun, with some games that are sort of like Draw My Thing (Something) or trivia and other games, but it might be a bit adult for them.

A lot of the games have a family-friendly toggle to prevent more adult content from being generated by Jackbox. Not that individual players can't be family unfriendly, but at least Jackbox will censor what it sends.
Edit: Sorry about the necro. Someone posted below and I didn't care to check the date.

didn't know the handbook is in other languages too!
I've always played with people with whom the only language in common I have is english, but I'll keep that in mind just in case I ever play with people from my country.
And yes, I think the game can be awesome for children too.

+1 for Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime. 4 player local co-op funess! It came from Space and ate our brains is also quite fun.
*edit almost forgot about Salt and Sanctuary. A great game and the co-op is really fun!

Another +1 for lovers in a dangerous spacetime. There's lots of very good local co-op games, but I've probably had more fun with that than any other.
Keep talking and nobody explodes is also brilliant fun, and totally unique.

We actually just activated Worms: Clan Wars from a bundlestars bundle and we couldn't figure out how to make co-op work. Have to look more into those games. Thank you :)

ah i personally enjoy Ultimate mayhem most cuz of the 3D aspect of it, but i think the worms franchise is one of the best for coop/party locally

This is what I was going to reply, and I was wondering why I didn't remember replying, but then I saw it was actually my evil twin who replied.

If you like Trine, check out Grave Danger. Brand new game with similar concept and local co-op but more cartoony/humorous and no physics just pure platforming. I've been playing it and it's fantastic. I guarantee your kids will love it.

This one looks great and exactly what I was looking for! Thanks!

Check out Dead Pixel. It's cheap and fun when played in co-op!

So, I have a 12 year old and an 8 year old and we've had a lot of fun lately playing things like Battleblock Theater, Broforce, Gang Beasts, Overcooked and Enter the Gungeon. Right before this sale is about to start up, I was wondering if anyone knows of any other really good local co-op games that I haven't found yet that would be fun for me and the kids!
