Should I buy Guild Wars 2?

I can't decide if I should buy it. Up until now I've only read great things about the game, but at the same time, it costs 55€. Is it worth that much money? Honestly, I never paid more than 10€ for a game (Torchlight 2 being an exception).

If you like that type of games, go for it. GW2 is wonderful.

well, it likely wont go down in price for a couple years - personally i got the standard, and now i wish i had preordered the collector :S

Right now thou they stopped selling copies on the official site, to keep the servers stable until they add more capacity. If you wanna buy you have to get it from third part sites, and hope they still have some in stock

This, you will feel obliged to play it. Enjoyment or otherwise.
On the other hand, if you have no friends playing it, I don't think its worth it.

That's my main dilemma. I have no one to play it with, as the game is terribly underrated here. But at the same time, I never heard so many good things from a MMO

I was going to wait seeing as torchlight 2 and borderlands 2 will be out in a week but all I have heard is praise it supposedly does new innovative things that the average mmo doesnt and for the better. Im quite tempted myself but seems out of stock everywhere for me at the moment

Yes. Whether it's now or later though will depend on your budget. Later for me as I can't afford to buy every new game at $40-$60.

Dont buy it yet,wait for Torchlight 2 (and Borderlands 2) to come out, you never know if they can mess up the release day or you may end up liking torchlight 2 more than Gw2

yes its great, but being an mmo if you dont have friends playing it or dont want to join a guild i would say no
