CoD:BO2 RU tradeable gifts?

I was thinking of the following:

If I'm able to find a Russian 'friend' and he/she gifts me a tradeable copy of CoD:BO2; am I able to claim it on my profile, as I am a European customer? Or are these gifts region locked as well?

I'm asking it here because I find confusing information on the internet.
