Before raging about me breaking the rules,
I just want to let you know that this thread is made to warn people who help launder money without them knowing.
So for those who came here for the deal, here's a better one;

Please, just pirate the games instead.

Why? because this way you will cause less harm.
Please think logically. Why would any one buy a 6$ Bundle and sell it for a lot less?
There are no ways to get the bundle cheaper then 6$.

Traders who sell these BTA bundles for 2 TF2 keys or around

that price are using stolen credit cards.

When you buy from them you simply help them launder the money they stole.
When you pirate the game, the devs don't get any money.
When you buy these fraud bundles the devs don't any money and someone else loses his own money.

You help a thief launder his money and fill the scum with cash.

So if you decide to buy these 2 TF2 keys BTA bundles, don't.
You will save your own money as well.
Please don't be confused; When you buy a tradeable copy from a Russian trader he buys the copy legitimately.
Steam CIS store has cheaper prices than the rest of the world.
Thanks for reading and have a nice day.

If at least one person saw this specific post and he isn't going to launder money, I succeeded doing what I wanted to do.

Why don't you just buy the bundle yourself? That seems like the best option. It's for charity, stop making a profit.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I agree, although some people can't buy it directly because of not having a credit card/paypal or something like that, but that's the only legitimate reason for not buying it directly from HIB

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I disagree. While giving money to charity is an option, the bundles are made to make some cash for the devs.
Plus, you can donate to charities all the time. you don't need to wait for a bundle for that.
So if you want to donate to charity, you don't need the humble bundles for that :).

ROFL at the last line

ONTopic:
With this new stupid system on HIB, I'm more inclined to launder their money just to protest with against their bullshittery

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Do you even realize why they've had to enact the "stupid system?"

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

yes, cause of traders. But that hurts the legitimate users who are giving keys that they already own to other people.

And if you're gonna argue with their ToS, then fuck them. They started with DRM-free games, then started adding steam keys + drm free. lately, only steam keys, and TODAY? Steam account only. Isn't it ironic that they started with DRM-Free and now embracing the concepts of DRM?

Its a shame really, I honestly think they are trying to do the right thing but in a word full of jerks, its kinda hard.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Why? gift urls still work, they just want you to keep the bundles whole, like you agreed to in their Terms of Service.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

why not just give a single steam key for all of the games though unless it connects both the bta and the uta to the account

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Their single key per tier works, why put more restriction?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Because although they provide an easy mechanism for trades (gift urls) people still abused the system and didn't use it.

Now you're forced to do what they asked you (and you agreed to) all along.

Really is a lot of fuss about nothing.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

And the beauty of Gift Urls is you can test if they are already claimed, unlike steam keys.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

a lot of fuss for nothing? Huh, they are the first and ONLY bundle site that are enforcing restrictive methods to distribute bundle keys.

are there any bundle sites that do Single key per tier?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I think they made you claim a key using an account instead of using 1 key for all of the games is to let you let your friends / family redeem the games you already own by logging in into their Steam accounts. This way they can enforce you to make a personal use of your keys only instead of trading them.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

but that's against their "ToS" right? Therefore with this new system, it is easier for them to catch people who share keys with multiple steam accounts linked

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

As I said, I believe that when they say "Personal Use" they mean that you may use the keys for yourself and family/friends. you are not allowed to monetize the games by reselling them.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

"I believe", then you are just assuming. The fact that there are no public response from HIB what does constitute Personal use means they can BAN, revoke those games if you did shae it to your family and friends

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

But they won't.
If you want to find out, you can ask the support.
I'm sure they will tell you exactly what you can or can't.

I just hope others don't follow. With all the games I have, I either do a no-profit sale of the rest of the pieces of a bundle or I give them away. It isn't even going to be worth buying a bundle for one or two games, anymore. I already had to mostly stop buying most Humble Bundle BTAs because of the single key thing. If the price can no longer beat 75% off, for the games I get, it just isn't worth it. I'll still probably keep buying $1 tiers, if I see a game I don't have. If other places start up with this, I am going to be skipping an awful lot of them.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I'm not sure, I don't think any other bundle site does that.
But still, complain about them providing you great games for just 1$?
No other bundle site does it, they do have some bundles, but not as great as these. (my opinion)
And I don't see a problem with this linking, you agreed to TOS altho most of us haven't read it. If you complain that probably means you were violating it.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Even though that you are arguing that these games are just for 1$, the fact that I already own 4 out of 6 games in 1$ means the bundle's value downgrades down to 33 cents since I can only redeem those games that I don't own AND CANNOT GIVEAWAY THOSE 4 already owned games.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

That is in fact correct, but, still, none of the games they have there even on -75% in steam store are below 1$.
And yet again, it's against TOS to giveaway those games. If everyone gifted keys they don't need, not as many copies would be bought.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

really, so you are suggesting me that future bundles will have MORE sales due to this change?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Well, I don't know really, I just said it as possibility.
But look at it this way:
Bundle, like the one with SR3 DLCs and Dead Island GOTY. How about I buy it just for the Dead Island GOTY, and my friend wants DLCs and not Dead Island? So, if they were seperate keys, I would have activated Dead Island and gave SR3 DLCs key to my friend. We are happy, but it's 1 purchase. Now when it's unique, if friend wanted those DLCs he would need to buy the bundle which would equal 2 purchases.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

The bundle isn't worth 33 cents. It's worth 6 games, or in your case, 2 games. The question is whether you are willing to afford $1 for the 2 games you don't have.

But I agree, it's a pretty major issue to be cheated out of God knows how many cents. Maybe you should go to the charities this is intended to support and demand your lost bundle value back.

Again restricting you to the TOS you agreed to. "I agree not to split or resell bundles... omg they are preventing me from from splitting bundles"

Seriously, if you feel you aren't getting value for money for that $1/$6, then don't buy.

Personally I'm all for it, it'll hopefully encourage more THQ/EA/Deep Silver bundles, instead of whatever the hell the currently weekly is.

Good for you supporting these anti-consumer measures. Looks like HIB has been infected with these greedy publisher practices (just like you listed)

YAY for hib implementing greedy publisher practices for future " indie" bundles
