I have noticed that a lot of trades have their extensive lists formatted with links that go the game's Steam store page. Is there a quick/automated way of doing this without having to manually type in the url markup for each game? I find it quite useful for browsing large lists of games that have many titles I am unfamiliar with.

Nope. You have to manually format your threads.
Yep, serious trading is a full time job.

I suggest you use an external site to do it for you (when browsing lists with no links), such as http://compare2steam.com/

Thanks for the reply -- yes, I have found it taking a fair amount of effort to keep organized :)

I do wonder if an enterprising individual with some scripting experience has written something that might make the task easier. It'd be pretty great to have a tool that you could just paste a list of games into and it would cross-reference the Steam catalog and spit out a formatted list with different options.

Well I guess you can use Compare2Steam.com with a steam account with zero games in it. It matches lists with games that you currently own or do not own with a link to the store page.

Oh yes I see, that is pretty handy. I'm pretty sure I can import that list into a spreadsheet and then filter and extract the links out then format the lists for Steamgifts with a simple formula script. Thanks for that link!
