Tropico 4: Steam Special Edition on sale (-80%), worth it?

Wondering the same thing as well. 80%...that's like, 5 more %'s than 75%!

EDIT: There's also Trop trilogy (incl 1-3 + expansions) for a mere 4.99. That's a lot of game in there. I did hear there might be a 'complete' trop4 pack including all the dlcs. Thou most of them aren't really needed except Modern Times - a real expansion dlc.

I've been told not to get it and to wait for the new one. But I might get it.

Meh. IMO it's kinda same-y all the time, and not worth the price as a student, but then again my sense of worth is different from most people.

I would certainly recommend this game if you like the previous parts or if you are into building, games. I bought it with the DLC Modern Times. With 12 extra campaigns. I just love the game.

If I were you I'd buy this Tropico 3 IMHO Is a way better game than the fourth part.

If you like stuff like Sim City then it's certainly worth a look, I really enjoy Tropico 4 so I would certainly recommend it, also ignore everything else, Tropico 3 is exactly the same as Tropico 4 so it's really not worth buying, if you want the full Tropico 3 experience you need Absolute Power, all the additions from that are already part of Tropico 4 as a base pack anyway, then you can pick up the Modern Times DLC as well at some point

ya worth it, I ended up gettin the Moderntimes DLC too but i kinda regret it since its gonna take me soooo long to actually get to those missions. for 6 bucks you'll get tons of hours and replayabilty if you love city building games with some sense of humor and flavor. Only tropico i played was the first one and it was easy to get back into the series.
