Civ 5 will go in sale in few hours\days ( amazon ) .

While Warlock master of the arcane is 5$ now on Amazon and the 4 DLCs combained together = 5$ .

Should I get warlock or wait to get Civ 5 ?!?!

Do you have a 2K coupon for $5 off on Amazon? If yes, then Civ V, cause it's going to be $9.99 tomorrow, and thus 4.99 with the coupon applied.

I actually like Warlock more than Civ 5, but I'm probably the only here who will say that. Fantasy >> realism!

Although be warned - the most recent patch actually created MORE bugs than ever before >_>

Nevermind! It seems they released another patch right before Christmas and apparently fixed most of the issues. I should load up the game again.

There don't seem to be any plans to put that on sale again yet. I wouldn't be too surprised if it went on sale sometime next month or February though, but that's just speculation on my part. Based on Paradox bundle history, they appear every 2 months or so.

More bugs in Warlock?

I stopped playing because I kept getting annoyed by minor bugs, like phantom buildings. And how some fairly common bugs weren't being fixed in the updates at the time. Stuff like the no income/upkeep buildings would happen several times in a match.

I didn't care too much about those. The killer was the crash to desktop bug introduced in the November patch. Basically by turn 100, the game would crash almost every single turn. It especially loved to crash when you were quick saving or during the AI turns.

Ugh, it was bad enough that the game started progressively slowing down on my laptop when I'd played for hours, or near the end of a game. Now it outright crashes?

Well, apparently the new patch fixes it, but I haven't tested yet.

I like the fantasy setting of Warlock, but it's a very flawed game, and I think Civ V is much better.

I haven't even played The Gods and Kings expansion of Civ V yet, and that is supposed to greatly improve it.

Both. If I had to pick, Civ 5, but they're both great games.

I was bored with Warlock faster than with Civ 5. Warlock is a lot simpler than Civ5, but Civ5 had some things that annoyed me (but these things where fixed with Gods&kings). If you're planning on also buying gods&kings, then go for Civ5. (I think there is a -85% sale on gods&kings on greenmangaming upcoming sunday)
