I was wondering if anyone has played Skyward Collapse and I was wanting to know your opinions on this game and if I should wait for the summer sale or get it now.

EDIT: Tried the demo and not too interested in it anymore.

I havent played it, but why not just wait a week or two for the summer sale to start?

I was most likely going to wait, but I still want people's opinions on the game as it seems interesting.

There's a demo on the Arcen games site if you're on the fence. It definitely looks fun, but I'm just a bit nervous that it'll get a bit too repetitive to be fun as long as AI war...

Oh, this is by Arcen games? Following the trend of their previous games, this will be 75% off in summer sale and will be in an indie bundle by August.

The reason they had to do that is because Shattered Haven didn't sell as well as they hoped so they needed to have huge sales and bundles to recoup some of the losses. Keep waiting and there won't be another game by Arcen to wait for.

Then another garbage indie devs out of the ecosystem.

I won't complain of that.

You say garbage indie dev, I say dev that cares enough to keep updating their most popular game 4 years after release and that isn't afraid to release a new game instead of just making new indie, experimental, overly artsy platformer number 1428751.

If they cared a little bit about visual, then I'd give them more credit.

I appreciate their AI Wars and constant updates that game has been receiving - it's a rarity. But as I stated above, Shattered Heaven was unacceptable for today's standard. Skyward also is unacceptable.

They gotta learn harder than relying solely on costumer's loyalty (from AI Wars).

Fair enough. I never played Shattered Haven because I just wasn't interested in it, but I can certainly see Skyward Collapse as being aesthetically displeasing (Which is one reason why AVWW didn't do too well). Arcen definitely appeals to a niche market, which is both how they've stayed around so long and why they're on the border of being bankrupt.

Oh, I didn't know that. I will definitely check that out.

Nowadays every game is a simulation ... :D

I like the idea, but I'd also like something more than a board game. Maybe in a sequel :)

I've been eyeing it up for a while. I should have got it at release on GMG when it was like 10% off, and then there was the voucher too. I'll probably pick it up in the sale if it's there.

I played the demo and it is not as fun as I anticipated but worth trying.
