RIP, dude was brilliant. OSTs like from Lost Eden is etched in my mind all these decades later. And the Dune music, that was just something else, especially the Amiga version.

Yeah amiga usually has better versions, some would say MT-32 are the best.

There is something for everyone. :p

Man I played Lost Eden as a kid, mostly for the music.

He was only 60, damn 😢

I normally turn the music off for the games that I play. Maybe I am missing out on something. Thanks for the giveaway

I'm glad to see that he's being remembered here. Commander Blood and Lost Eden are my personal favourite game soundtracks ever. Lush, beautiful, atmospheric ambience. Unforgettable.

Oh no, one of the my favorite music composers from games. No words can say how much I liked his music, like from Cryo Dune 1, listened and shared it numerous times on my profiles. I remember ~year ago he replied to one of my comments on youtube.

I don't think I've ever played a game scored by him but music is always a huge part of what I appreciate about games. RIP Stéphane Picq.

Lost Eden was one of the games my mom and I played together when I was a little kid; that is, she did the actual playing, while I was the one who remembered what we needed to do and yelled at her to run whenever she lingered too long around the velociraptors. (Sometimes I think she got eaten on purpose, lol.)

RIP, Mr. Picq. I never knew your name until now, but you contributed to fond childhood memories.

I played nearly all of these games, and I remember very clearly most of the music. A great loss

R.I.P.
I heard the Lost Eden ost for the first time 30 years ago in the game Lost Eden.
I loved it so much. Even today I keep on listening to his music.

Last year he even released a remastered version of the Lost Eden ost. https://stphanepicq.bandcamp.com/album/lost-eden-2024-lp
Such a great musician. :(

Ah, Dune... such a pity they never made a proper remake of that one, but still I completed it like 5 times. Great game (even 10 years later, maybe not so much nowadays 👀), and great music indeed.
