Try downloading another broswer, then. Chrome probably isn't an option since you can't get to google, but try downloaded Opera or Safari or something. Or try using Internet Explorer.

@OP Scan your comp, also check your hosts file
c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts (open with text editor)
If there are any entries for google (or google associated services) then remove those.

Thats a sample for hosts file? As it says and there are no entries

Comment has been collapsed.

It's the actual hosts file.
The top part is only an example to give you an idea how the list works.

If there are no entries inside, then it is unmodified and thus perfectly fine.
Was just a guess.

Yeh that's absolutely ok.

127.0.0.1 is localhost (aka your own PC)

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Does it say
127.0.0.1 google.com?
If it does, it's redirecting the host google.com into localhost => doesn't function

Step two: in situations were step one doesn't work simply toss the object out of the closest window.

What does it say? If google shows up, you fucked up FF. Try cleaning cache (Ctrl+Shift+del) or just reinstall FF.

I saw you were already doing a virus scan, also be sure to do a malware scan with something like Malwarebytes or Superantispyware. In the meantime, try using Bing until you can resolve this. If you're in the US Bing Rewards is pretty awesome.

Open a command prompt. Type in ping google.com - what happens? If there's no response (request timed out), then it's something with your connection to the internet (possibly some software which is blocking or rerouting requests to any google domain).
If there is a response, it's probably with your browser settings.
Howto open cmd? Winkey + R; cmd; [enter].
