I've never had that problem, but I often play a game for a bit and then Steam says "Last played: Tomorrow"

I had unknown time added to a game once... Then I realized it was because I passed out the night before, and forgot to close the game down (it was on my 2nd monitor, being obstructed by my media player) >__>

Like the title says I "have" 28 hours in Strider. In fact I played only around 6 hours.
Steam somehow counted the time between 2 times I started the game.
That is my excuse for this giveaway.
