I dont understand this thread. Its your money, you are the only one who need to decide what you want to buy. -.-

So we can't ask a friend "which dress should I buy?" or "Which movie should I see?"
Of course it's our money but we like opinions from the outside world.
Especially when it comes to games, because people who have played the game can tell us the negatives or the positives that they experienced while playing said game. I personally like to hear the opinions of the steamgifts community I know more then the reviews on the game itself.

But I do not know you and so I dont know what you like and what not.

The Walking Dead. I'm a fan of everything related to Batman, but still, the TWD game was so good.

The Walking Dead. But if you dont own Tales From The Borderlands, buy that. Great storyline, great comedy, nice character developments, also GOTY for me

Tomb Raider or Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes? My budget right now is about $5.50

Haven't scrolled through all pages BUT if someone hasn't already asked, I am looking at possibly getting a new metroidvania. I will probably end up getting all at some point but any reason why I should (or shouldn't) pick up one of these first?: 1) Dead Cells 2) Rabi-Ribi 3) Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight

Should I buy Divinity: Original Sin or Tom Clancy's The Division to play with a friend? We enjoy both genres, FPS / Borderlands type games, and ARPGS, Grim Dawn, Victor Vran, Path of Exile etc.
Comment has been collapsed.
Divinity: Original Sin is not an ARPG. Its a turn-based RPG with a lot of writing(that personally made me bored while playing it co-op with a friend). The good stuff about D:OS was the combat and the lack of respawning enemies. The story starts okay but 1/3 into the game I just stopped bothering. But the combat was great since you could use the environment for your advtange or disadvantage + the friendly fire made for some fun moments " Woops, I just stunned our tank..... again!"
Recently got back into The Division(since they are announcing new grind stuff like better gear and global events) and the game still have population for end game content. Getting to end-game should take you something like 30 hours(or less if you dont bother to clear the open world). Dunno how is the pop below end-game but if you have a friend to play with , you shouldnt have an issue. Also The Division offers 6 hour trial if you are yet to try it . On top of that better check what the DLCs offer since Season Pass may not be that good of a deal(aka dont bother buying the Gold Edition: Example - I enjoyed only Underground because its PvE only while other people like Survival.)

Huh, I had just assumed Original Sin was an ARPG like the originals. I am not as much into turn based RPGS, and I had heard that the game was really good but like you said the story was not amazing.
I think I will give The Division a shot, I had heard that the end game wasn't too special but getting there should be fun. Thanks for the advice.

End-game is a mixed bag. AS said recently went back and now doing the "hardest" difficulty on the missions.
If you stick to the standart difficulties(Normal/Hard/Challenging) the game aint that bad. Yeah enemies are spongy but when there are 4 of you they die quite fast(apart from the heavies on which you have to aim for the weak spots).
Nowadays the game is a lootpiniata so once you hit lvl30 you have to aim for Gear Score 256 which isnt that hard to achiev( I think in total in took me 25-30 hours from lvl1 to lvl30 GS256 while doing all side content).
Now the toughest PvE content(Heroic/Legendary) can be realy pain in the ass.. doable but not that fun and the loot isnt that much more impressive ( 1 exotic cache per week per instance(7 in total)). On top of that only a handful of builds are viable.
But still the journey to level 30 is quite fun especially if you have a buddy with you (sadly I had to do it solo but oh well). And for once I found the Open World collectables worth getting(better writing than the story missions).

I currently have $10.65 to spend in wallet, (Hopefully getting more soon) and I've got a few options at the moment, need some help deciding.

Starbound if you want a nice space travel exploration game, then you've for at least 40h !
L.A. Noire if you want a linear and interesting story. Then you've for about 25-30h.
Both games are cool but they are very different. Depends on what you search, free exploration with discover or linear investigation that tell you a story.
The forest... i never played it sorry.

Finished Transistor today and i loved it. Enjoyed it a lot. I guess i should buy Bastion? Haven't played that yet.

Darkest Dungeon http://store.steampowered.com/app/262060/Darkest_Dungeon/
AND Armello http://store.steampowered.com/app/290340/Armello/
OR

All 3 are great games so can't really go "wrong" here. However my recommendation is DD+Armello. Armello gives you the multiplayer longevity the rest don't and XCOM has already been in a Monthly which means we'll probably be seeing deep sales for it semi-frequently
If you don't plan on using multiplayer though then definitely XCOM2, Armello is rather weak as a single player game
Comment has been collapsed.
I have been thinking about the XCOM 2 in a bundle. But it surely hasn't gone down in price since. And it doesn't even trade at prices lower than this sale.
On the other hand, I am not done with XCOM yet, so I can afford to wait a while.
Darkest Dundeon and Armello both appeal with art style and innovation.

Sooo, I kind of want a long-ish RPG/open-world game to last me the next month, and can't decide between these;
MGS V: Phantom Pain (note: I've only ever played the first MGS)
Fallout 4
Tales of Zestiria
Final Fantasy XIII
Final Fantasy XIII-2 (note: I'd be skipping the first game)
Final Fantasy XIII: Lightning Returns (note: I'd be skipping both of its prequels)
Comment has been collapsed.
MSGV is fun, I've never played a MGS game before, but I really liked this one, I even 100% it, though it can be quite repetitive towards the end (like doing the same mission again, but on harder difficulty). But you might want to play Ground Zeros first, since its kind of an introduction to the story.
Fallout 4 is somewhat different from the others entries to the series. Hardore fans didn't like it, but I've spent over 100 hours in this game, so I think it wasn't so bad. On the other hand I can't recall a single mission that really stood out for me, while I can name thousands that stuck in my mind from both 3 and NV.
FFXIII is not really open world, well, I've heard there's kind of open world after first 20 hours. But first you have to complete those 20 hours which is mostly straight path ->fight->cutscene->repeat.
I haven't played any other game of your list.
To summarize I would buy MGSV if I were you. :)

Alrighty, decided to go for MGS V. Wasn't able to pick up Ground Zeroes though (only had $16 in my wallet). But, having already seen "the scene" from GZ, I'm hoping that should be enough to lay the ground work for MGS V. Thanks for the suggestion ^_^

I have just enough for one more game. $8.32 to be exact. I was unable to get a giftcard while I was out earlier so I can only pick one title out of three I have sitting in my cart. Two are point-and-click adventures while the third is a first person action-adventure.
J.U.L.I.A.: Among the Stars - $4.99 ($19.99) and $1.24 ($4.99). It is a sci-fi point-and-click adventure game that apparently starts out small but gets bigger and more complex as you go further along. The DLC contains a bonus 'chapter'. I've been doing my best to avoid spoilers but it looks phenomenal for what comes across to me like a scifi short story rendered as a video game.
STASIS - $6.79 ($19.99). It is a horror scifi point-and-click adventure game that . I played the free second game (more of a interlude to the next title) in this budding series. CAYNE is creepy. There's only one jumpscare and the horror is more atmospheric and in the logs than anything else. Problem is that the character in CAYNE didn't respond to the logs so I saw the twist coming a mile away. If STASIS is anything like CAYNE then that means that it'll have a low-burn horror plot and damned good work put into making the maps, props, and characters.
Windscape - $5.77 ($16.99). It is a first person 3DZelda-like labor of love that blends sandboxy exploration/crafting with a beautiful world and hard boss fights. So maybe a kind of indie first person Breath of the Wild? It is Early Access so while it isn't finished according to the page the game won't go up in base price.
Any thoughts?

diluvion + holy potatoes in space = 20$
or
http://store.steampowered.com/bundle/3851/Daedalic_Summer_Sale_Bundle_2017/
for shadow tactics + long journey home = 40$
?
edit : i took diluvion + holy potatoes, thanks for your advices !

I think I might give in and buy that bundle. They will be much cheaper at a later date. Pricey but it's still a good deal if you want Shadow Tactics now and have an interest in The Long Journey home.
