"Small" US band that got my attention after listening to one of Danko Jones' podcasts.
Album starts with songs that sound like the Metallica Kill em All days, turns halfway a bit to the punk side (Misfits style) and ends with a killer slow metal screamo song. I like the diversity.

i know right, there's some really good songs on that album. i recommend checking their older stuff too when you have time cause their style always evolved along the years, and their lyrics always tend to get a point across. i was lucky to find out about Lacuna Coil, i played vampire the masquerade bloodlines some years back and they had some songs there , that's how i found out about them xD since then , they've pretty much been one of my favorite bands. either way, glad you like them !

contrary to what many people believe, artists trying different approaches and styles does not mean "selling out" if they're just doing it to avoid singing the same stuff under different album names... and they're often getting confused with the artists who are selling out , aka changing their style at 180 degrees just for money or popularity or reasons like that, not cause they genuinely put their soul into the music they're making.
but then again, you gotta know full well what you want, what themes you're gonna approach in different albums, what style ( going more soft or gnarly ,depending) and such.
also please tell me if you want to stop this thread here as it's getting pretty long, i personally don't mind, i love music and i like talking but idk your preferences xD

Nah you're not annoying ,just wondered if it bothers you to have big threads on this post lol. Same,i listen to a whole bunch of genres, i'd listen to anything that sounds good to me.
