Gamepad support for what? For kids? Achievements for what? For epeen? Soundtrack? GTA 2 has 34 tracks, HM has 23 but musical taste is up to personal preference.
And GTA 2 has twice as long playtime as HM.

Srsly? you must use third party soft to do this a this is not "gamepad support", with that soft You can use Photoshop with your gamepad is that means that Photoshop support gamepads?

This profile is designed for use with Pinnacle Game Profiler.

Was it made by DMA Design or packaged with GTA?

Then it'd be third party software.

Meh, gameplay seems pretty much the same, music doesn't seem really good.

But this is exactly what most of us wanted. More of the same considering how short the first game was. I like the soundtrack bits I've heard so far.

I don't think GameMaker has come that far since the first release.

I don't think they are using Game Maker anymore

Do you have any sort of source or reason for the claim?

Actually, they're just using a newer version of GameMaker. It's notcieably faster and smoother. And in reply to Peroxide, the GameMaker that Dennaton is currently using has recently received support for multiplayer and is soon to get shaders too. But that doesn't mean Hotline Miami 2 will use them.

Anyways, I'm pretty excited for the sequel, but I am also quite worried that it won't deliver on expectations. Oh well, I guess we'll find out in a few months.

Were they using an old old version before or does Studio have a lot more improvements than I was aware of?

Perhaps I should go take a look!

They were using GM 7 earlier (the reason probably being that GM 7 had a Mac compatible counterpart), which was about 4 years old or so. So yeah, it was pretty old. :P

You should definitely check out Studio, it's very fast, has a few extra features and despite missing some of the functions, is still a very versatile piece of software. With extension support coming soon, the obsolete functions may return in some form or another through the help of other users.
