10 years ago I was pushed out of my job. And it was a gift cause a had no any progress and could've sat there for a few more years being lazy to change anything myself. Less than in a month I got a new intersting and well paid job and a fresh sight on my life.
So I wish you to find a job that will affect you much better than current one. Don't feel yourself obligated to answer this

Losing a job always sucks, even more so when you like being there and get along with your workmates. Hopefully you get back on your feet soon. I know you asked not to comment such things but had to.

Well, I reached level 8 this monday, and I was planning to do a celebration train this week, most probably weekend. However, it'll be delayed. Today I was notified that my contract will not be renewed, and my last day is the last day of this month. Just when I got over this awful summer, this.
And it has nothing to do with merit; I was told once and again that my direct bosses wanted me there, but up in the central offices I'm just a number. The department budget is getting short, who's the next one to renew? This one. Then that one will not be renewed. No one's fault; if the decision would have been taken tomorrow, someone else would have been the victim. If it were past week, someone else too. I was just in the bad timeframe when this decision was taken.
I'm very sad because it's a good place, a decent job, nice workmates and bosses equally, lots of advantages. Sure the job is important, and the money is the reason most of us work. But I'll miss a lot of people and the vibes they have given me for a year.
Nothing I can do so I'm trying to be calm and "take it with philosophy". But I'm still sad.
I'm not in the mood, but I got to make two customary giveaways of two really good games. The missing character is the same for both, and I think the clue in the game names is pretty clear. The train? Probably beginning next month. I'll have lots of free time.
