Are foils THAT rare?

140 Games Eligible for Boosters, sold over 500 cards only 1 foil dropped.Sold it for 0,78.Other than that, traded and sold over 3000 cards and I got 4-5 foils there.

I'd say unlucky, you oughta pray more to the RNG God and he might provide. The RNG Gods work in mysterious ways, you know! ;)

I've gotten 3 I think, two from "normal" games and one for the latest winter holiday sale. So they're out there, but it's idiots like me and everyone else hoggin' 'em... sorry. :/

I have 42 eligible games and got 170 cards altogether. Only one of them was foil, a Fortix 2 card.

I have never get a foil, but I know someone who is getting maybe 1 foil/week in average xD

Depends on your level. You need to be level 10 to get foils, if I remember correctly. Which means crafting, etc.

I've gotten around 20 cards from drops and two were foils.

I got one from SPAZ.

I was level 10 from the start, have 125 games eligible for boosters now and only had 2 foils dropped. I even opened all of my boosters but got no foils from them.

I've gotten a couple hundred drops, one foil.

I got one foil in the 2nd booster pack I used, and one as my first trading card drop from M&B Warband

I've only gotten about 4 foils, out of maybe 100 drops. None of them were worth over $0.50 ><

i got 2 foils as drops from playing game got only 1 booster and didnt get any foil

For those people who crafted dozens of badges: How do you get so many cards?
Do you really trade them or buy them?
I tried trading myself but unlike real trading cards you can only get half a set per game yourself and you will rarely have duplicate cards to actually trade. It's a bit frustrating.

I've had about 10 drop so far, but most are worthless. If they drop from a bundle game, expect 30 cents. If they drop from a popular game, expect under $1.

The only expensive foils I've ever sold were on non-bundle indie games, because there is much less supply.

I think I've gotten 3 foils or so. I haven't been bothering to idle since the first two months of release though.

i got 2 foil card drops, and never one from a booster pack, and i've open like 15 or 20

I never had a booster pack, i'm level 20, i do get 5 foil cards by playing games. I played 10 games.

I've gotten maybe 2 out of game drops, never a booster pack. Level 25 atm.

Eglible for 223 booster packs, and I do get foils probably more often than average, after what I have read here, mostly from game drops though.
And some of them are really hard to sell, been having a couple on the market for 4-5 weeks now.

I've gotten 3 foils from games and one globe foil. Sadly, two of the game foils lost most of their value sitting in my inventory. By the time I got the market unlocked, the cards were a fraction of their original value :/

Foils are quite rare. I've gotten about 6 so far. But most aren't worth much anymore, so I wouldn't be concerned about them :P

I got one in a TF2 booster pack, one from Tomb Raider, Surgeon Simulator and Chaos on Deponia, and a foil snow globe.
