Next Total War

I would like alien atotal war, with an alien invasion. Or Zombie Total war. Or nuclear total war to wipe the whole army in a second.

I'm hoping for Rome Total War 2. Anyway not too long to wait to find out - July 6th:

They invited Notch to take part in mo-cap for the next game. So I guess that will be another game about Russians invading America with American cities crawling with overweight people struggling to escape the incoming hordes.

I would like a new rome. Or maybe they should try something new, like China total war.

I agree that Rome is so far the best of the series. For years I've been waiting for a sequel that has city pathfinding designed for huge unit scale, not tiny.

By the way, how's the pathfinding in the newer games? I only played them up to Medieval II, and that had worse pathfinding than Rome. Trying to get cavalry to actually charge something was nearly impossible.

Shogun 2 is definitely worth the money, the newer expansion with all the guns is pretty awesome, I'm pretty sure their next step is WW1 in Europe

I'm not sure about WW1 tbh, there wouldn't be enough freedom for battles.... It might be too bunkery

They should hire the dev team that made The Third Age: Total War

A developer in an interview (about Shogun 2) spoke of Rome: Total War as "Rome 1", which pretty much means there is a Rome 2!

I would love to see Rome Total War 2 with the new improvements like they did with Shogun 2

Personally i think they are going to make WW1. shogun 2 fall of the samurai has lots of "trials" for a possible WW1 game. From railroads to ships bombarding the field, these are new key elements that would work in a WW1 title.
The questions is, can they make WW1 battles fun to play? once i learned about empire total war i thought ground battles would be super boring but i was wrong, they were fun because it was a diferent way to play the great formula of the total war game.
Another reason i say they will make WW1 game instead of Rome 2 is that rome 2 battles would be very similar to shogun 2. To make sure that people don't get bored i think they will make a new game with firearms and after that one the technology has advanced more and they can probably make Rome 2 superior to shogun 2, blowing our minds.
this is my opinion whatever "epoch" they choose i will certanly buy it because i love the style of their games.
