Helldivers 2 - psn still required?

No idea. They said they would revert it, but it still says it on the game page.

It's kind of still required.
If there is no PSN in your country you cant buy the game i.e make a PSN account.
It doesn't run like shit but random crashes and disconnects are still a thing , say 10% of your matches.
You can play a hundred matches without issues and then a few days later regularly crash every few games :/

So, unless something changed, currently you don't need PSN account, but you need to live in PSN-available country to purchase it.

I wouldn't be surprised if they try to drop PSN-update again in 2025 - but then, Sony might bring some serious legal issues on their head in EU since AFAIK there's few countries that could buy Helldivers 2, but still aren't covered by PSN, so if they require PSN account, then people from those countries could sue them and verdict might be "Sony can't sell shit in EU until those few countries are covered too".
