I do wonder about if you have enough programmers. It is great to think of a game, but you need to be able to make it as well ;) Then again, if you don't have a plan and concept (or it falls through), you won't need programmers after all.

I wouldn't mind being in the brainstorm group. I used to draw, but not anymore. Besides, I don't have the "tools" needed to create digital artwork.

But I suggest you taly up the people you have and who you still need, before you take on more people. You don't want a group that is to big to control and organize (especially if people live in different states/countries) ^^

I'm studying game art, so I might be able to help

I'm a writer, of sorts, worked on a popular Warcraft 3 map called Uther Party Ultima (as Dalek/Rassilon) as a mini-game designer, tester and back story/description writer. I also wrote several short stories, 2 of which won local prizes. Nothing published.

I'd probably be interested in dropping a bit of time on something fun like this. But here's a few questions/issues I have:
How are you coordinating everyone? Is there a specific brainstorming schedule in real-time, or a message board to post asyncronously?
What size and scope are you expecting for a project or team? If there's lots of interest it might be more feasible to break people into smaller teams to develop proof of concepts before doing a larger undertaking.
What's the leadership like of the people starting this? Crowdsourcing work in this way tends to result in quite a bit of chaos, and I fear without strong leadership from the get go this will disintegrate quickly. So I'm hoping that there's the leadership/drive/vision to pull this together.

I'm experienced with Photoshop and sometimes have great ideas, but the main reason I want to join is that I want to learn from other people.

I could give creative ideas and help with brainstorming. I could also create 3d models but I don't have the software anymore.

I can do all creative related tasks (music, design (not art, design - being game design, creative direction, brand image, etc.), brainstorm, etc.), though I'm learning retro music ATM. Maybe being in a group will help me... PM me or something and let's see what's the idea.

If this would be happening like a year later i would join right away, because recently we started to learn C# and javascript in school.

Hmmm i'm a little interested.
As for why I'm interested? Well sometimes i had a great concepts of video game, sometimes improvements that would likely some of gamers would like to see, sometimes games that are unique and massive. Story, gameplay and even some tehnical issues(i didn't learn C++ or anything else, but I'm always making count on them so i wo'nt go too deep in the forest of my imagination).That's not all but it's mostly what i can do for now(.

I'm in college for advertising graphics and design... but I dunno if I'd be much help. I also may end up being too busy to help much ><.. But I'll keep an eye on this.. I could always use practise and would be fun to help out with this kind of thing! And it'd be nice to sit back and say "I helped make this happen" lol. But I really don't know if I'd be very helpful... I'll think about this and keep an eye on it like I said!

I am a programmer. Have experience with c++ and java and have toyed around with(= know basics): VB, ruby, unrealscript
I have some original, cool ideas in my conceptbook. I'm willing to donate one of them if you guys are commited to making it. These are just basic concepts and have a lot of room to improve and change. Also I have many concepts i didnt write down.
I have knowledge in 2D and 3D arts but am terrible at doing them myself. I just don't know how to make things pretty. I am experienced in giving feedback though, apparently.
I have experience on working in group. We made a boardgame as a schoolproject and were the best in our category. It was supposed to be made by Cartamundi but i think it got cancelled due to lack of funding. Or still "on hold". I don't know for sure, don't get any information about it :(
I've followed a game development course (www.digitalartsandentertainment.be/) a few years ago but had to drop out because the level for the arts courses was too high for me. My programming and scientifical courses were good though. Now I follow a traditional Computer Science course.
I have learned many things in DAE though and got to know many talented people.

To be honest, getting 60 people working on a single game? That's a bad idea, it'll be better to separate into many groups of smaller numbers which have more chance of success. A game only needs 4-5 people to be successful.

I might give an idea or 2. So count me in as a brainstormer!

To make myself extra enticing, I am also willing to be a writer (funny dialogue can often take away attention from other flaws of the product :P)

This is rather interesting, I don't expect to end up working on anything, but just being able to help on anything is just great.
I can brainstorm a bit, I also can draw to some level, I've never tryed to compose or program, so I guess that's a no for that part.
