I have no heart to be saddened. When I don't see the space cat, which is all too often, I just shrug and proclaim that I hate being right all the time about not seeing it.

What already happened to me a couple times is that I didn't see Space Cat at all :(
I just had a notification on the trophy icon. Not sure why that happened, I think it might have something to do with browsing SG in multiple tabs.

If you have multi tabs open it only shows in one tab.

Even easier solution would be to have Space cat having bigger priority than Send Gift msg, aka appearing before it than to having to check when did you log in, did you have a chance to see msg A before msg B, having unnecessary flags for events visibility etc ;p

Did this get resolved already? I just got Space Cat right after clicking on "Send Gift" (not "Close"), so it works for me...

Well it hadn't been 'fixed' yesterday, as I had the send gift message override space cat again. Maybe something happened today??

This evening I won two giveaways at the same time, but also got just one space-cat. This is very confusing and now I have also this bad lost-cat-syndrome....it´s so cold....so cold....I don´t know what to do, where to go....I would like to scream silently.....oh....no....help me...please.....i need a hug

3 weeks ago I won a gift but never knew that I won because no space cat apeared, at all. I didn't have an open giveaway back then either. Much later I noticed the notification in the cup icon but I thought it was for a message... (:P). Clicking on it showed me that I had won a giveaway and was waiting to be marked as received.

I think the idea of having 'send gift' notification over riding space cat is so you can send your gifts off in a timely manner as opposed to succumbing to a catatonic state brought on by the epilepsy inducing cat.

I had giveaways ended and yay you won... (I don't remember what order)
I just clicked on close or whatnot and then there was another one...
I run no custom scripts...

Do you ever log into SG to see that one of your giveaways has ended, but you also won a gift at the same time? Currently, the message that pops up is the one that reminds you to send your gift. Well, the problem here is that once you've done that, there's no space cat gif waiting for you. Very sad, indeed.
I suggest having the 'send gift' message pop up first, but then when you go back to the main page have the space cat appear like it would if you hadn't just finished a giveaway. It will keep morale high.
