So here we are the last day of the summer sale, and I yet to waste my money on some game. x)

I'm looking for some kind of medieval game which focuses on economy, surviving, living kind of thing. I found 2 which may fit my interest but I can't really decide. Both are still under development so they will be (hopefully) improved. Still, can't decide which may have more fun (or replayability or longer gameplay etc.)

That's why I decided to ask your opinions. I added a 3rd option if you know one which may be even better than those two.

Thanks for your ideas!

Life is Feudal was on my list for a while but I read that it isnt developed anymore. Grand Ages is a might, it got a nice price tag, may give it a shot. I already overplayed M&B for a while. Thanks for the suggestions!

Mount & Blade Warband does some of that.

The old DOS (maybe free by now?) game Conqueror AD 1086 has all of that to some degree (you have to manage your fiefdom in order to support your army) and is a good game.

Already got M&B, overplayed it a while ago so I'm giving it a break for a while. Conqueror sounds interesting, I'll look into it.

This is not about survival but you should check if you haven't played it before:
Anno 1404 a.k.a. Dawn of Discovery

I'd suggest Banished or one of the Stronghold/Stronhold Crusader games. Anno 1404 (Dawn of Discovery in the US) is also fantastic, but might fall outside what most people consider medieval?

Been eyeing with Banished for a while, may give it a shot. Thanks!

Saelig dev is super involved, he is alone but he makes very regular updates.
At the time of EA i tried it (1,5 year ago), we could discover most of mechanics and reach 100% achievements in 15-20h, but it was already a very polished and fun game. Since i just wait for full release before replaying it. I have absolute confidence in the seriousness of this developer.

Guild 3 i don't trust it. But i don't know how much it's improved since the horrible start of early-access. Maybe it's much better now ? I don't know.

So I heard. Bit too much strategy for me though.

It's probably the Paradox game with the least strategic factor, if it's the military part that would concern you.

So, according to the front page banner it ends at the 9th and if you click it, it says 7th, so when does it end?

The grand prix event might end on the 7th, coins tokens usable til the 9th. Most of the steam sales seem to last until the 9th though on their store page.

Maybe they extended it for 2 days and forgot to change all banners?

SnowyK says it right. Sale is until 9th, Grand Prix ends today, tokens usable till the end of sale.

Ah ok, thanks,. is that always a thing, where the event ends before the sale? I don't remember we had that before!

From the discription on their storpage;
Foundation is a grid-less, sprawling medieval city building simulation with a heavy focus on organic development and monument creation.

Hmm, it's not the same sort of game at all, but have you taken a look at https://store.steampowered.com/app/233860/Kenshi/ ? I don't know how to describe it exactly... :)

The Guild 2 was pretty good, bit buggy tho.
Knights of Honor was fun, blend of RTS with some 4x stuff.
Stronghold games are solid
Banished is great and has lots of mod support
