RU/CIS tagged game, playable question

There's a number of games with a RU tag that can be activated and played outside of Russia without any problems. However, you must also remember about the Aliens: Colonial Marines RU preorder story, when the region lock was applied retroactively upon release.

Purchases made in Russia and CIS countries will only be playable in Russia and CIS countries.

It differs from game to game, but given the Batman game's history with DRM, I would say it will most likely have a region lock.

I wouldn't risk it. Payday 2, which happens to be indie, is locking the CIS/RU copies. So I think this game may also get the lock.

I have Football Manager 2013 ru tagged version, it activated fine and works fine, only russian language though but there was an easy fix, just get the english language file. It doesn't give trading cards like the normal version would do but that's not why I got it. Sure hope these locks don't come later because I also got Rocksmith 2014, Payday 2 and Cod: Ghosts from traders.

I have fully workind The Darkness II Preorder tagged as RU, I wrote to Steam Support and they sad that they won't change my subscription and It won't dissappear. I beated a game without any problems with launching or downloading.
