Celebrating my final parts showing up for my new rig, also hoping these GA's might grant me some good karma points from life so the build will go well without any nasty surprises.

Nothing too fancy, bunch of leftover bundle keys, but still...

Hopefully I'll be sending keys to winners from the new machine, if I get a bad part, or the whole thing explodes into flames after I touch it, I'll get the keys to winners from my tablet, just with slightly sadder mouse clicks XD... /:(
Good luck all

P.S. will be adding a couple cars to the train after these public GA's end Friday night:

Case fans (4) plugged into Motherboard or keep it simple with direct PSU?

That was my first thought, but that should be all software/bios controlled, and there a physical slider switch on the case too, thought there might be a system conflict, but i overthink this stuff alot too

Physical slider doesn't provide comprehensive information in one place like a good system monitor would.

I've always tried to plug as many fans into my mobo as possible.

I have literally got that exact CPU and motherboard, so you clearly have great taste in computer parts. :) :) :) You will be happy, it is a great set-up. I have not had any problems with it.

I heard some complaints about the stock heatsink for the processor, are you using that or did you go aftermarket?

Yeah, using the stock one, I haven't had any issues with it after about 2 years of using that setup.

I have the same mobo also, for CPU I have the 8320 oc-ed to 4.5Ghz. I didn't use the stock cooler since that sucked, got the Scythe Mugen Gamer edition.

well I'm about drained after the parts I have now, so I might keep that in mind for one of the upgrades I have planned. but I have heard the thermal paste on the stock unit is terrible, thought it might make it easier to replace later, never had to replace one after its been installed, so not sure how touch and go it could be to get done tho
