Though, the sale event games are never good.
I kind of disagree, I usually found at least a small amount of enjoyement in the event minigames. This event though... this event is trully something else >_<

I started with -11,400 points, after buying a small game. Haven't paid much attention since finding that number, why bother?

Sorry for a stupid question, but where did you file a ticket? I can't find a category that even remotely works.

No question is stupid :)
I couldn't find a suitable category either but I just went to https://help.steampowered.com/en/ and then via Steam Community > I need help with something not listed here. > Contact Steam Support
Seems they don't really mind because I got a pretty fast reply too

Thanks. (Some questions are stupid, though I think mine isn't that bad - sort of at the edge!) I was having trouble navigating any of the support menu trees to a place where I could file a ticket, eventually found one on Account Data. Support answered fairly quickly. I mentioned that I thought the lack of a clear way to file a ticket was a worst-practice approach to customer service, and they said they'd pass that to the right department.
For the rest, they explained the rules to me and said that since I'd successfully used a boost, my account must be working. No points refunded. /shrugs
I figured out that playing any Steam game for 30 minutes gives points for all past achievements, so I rousted up a couple of games I played heavily a couple of years ago and I'm now in the positive. It's a little weird that some people started thousands of points in the red and others started thousands of points in the black, but whatever. From the total dominance of the Corgi team from the very start, I can only assume that this is designed even more poorly than I think it is.

I think the best way would be to say that no question is stupid as long as the intent is genuine, if that makes sense.
my account must be working
Did you actually clearly explain that you started your token balance in the negative? A lot of Steam support is outsourced to people who don't take their jobs very seriously and try to get off easy with unrelated copy paste answers.

I did, and then submitted a "we're not done yet" ticket with a screenshot of the negative balance. We'll see if that does anything.

"Having to use the boosts to make up the negative was unintended. I have since fixed your total to account for the lost points. 3035 points have been added to your Max Point capacity total."
That's what they said after I explained I had to use 3 boosts to get my token balance out of the negative

The first 2 seem to made for poor souls who don't understand their system to waste their life. Or it is just poorly thought out like everything else this event.

I guess the multiplier is based on the ranking the day before. Guess it will be Corgi last and then Corgi first from now on...

i meant the boosted points number :D
But i boosted at 7pm instantly while the site did go down and literally all of my tokens except the laast 4,4k are from purchases
If you dont have enough capacity you will gain 100capacity at 7pm but you get plus 1000bosted points :P
before there was no difference between bosted points .
The event overall is still a buggy mess i couldnt even claim the tokens today if i wouldnt have changed my language to english :D

Damn so right now I have less points boosted than max points but I can only claim 100 from the daily increase of max pool and I used all of my available points so those 2 pools should be just 100 points apart..
Damn it Valve this is buggy as hell :(

Valve got money got people to do but they really do like this school project.
Can't they hire someone which good enough to do this kind of things and then tested it first before launch.
They know summer sales is on what date, they can prepare early. This is not something like suddenly come out from mind then need to complete in 2 weeks.
Dunno why someone able to claim those discount x3 times. Whether they got bugged max point or they spend that much to increase that max point for it.

So now they nerfed us? WTF? Maybe they should have limited number of people per team or something?
Or maybe they should have kept the progress day to day secret so that the teams who aren't winning wouldn't just give up? Because that's the problem here, right?

Update 30.06.19
You can now change your team and receive 1000 max points for doing so. Note that valve decides which team you are going to join.
I've searched the GP page but I couldn't find how to change the team. On the other hand, should I do it? I'm on team Corgi. What benefit is there besides getting 1000 extra "O-meter points"?
PS: This event sucks.

Additionally, in an effort to balance team sizes for the event, we are rolling out a new random drop: Switch Teams. Once received, players will find it below the Attack buttons on their dash. Clicking this button will randomly re-assign you to a different team while also granting you 1000 more max points so you can complete quests and claim achievements for your new team. No need to use it, though if you are interested in making a switch you will need to act soon, as this one-time offer will expire within 48 hours of receiving it.

Aaaaaaah, you need to randomly receive the "switch teams" drop (I dind't receive it so I don't have that option). Do you get those random drops without boosting your team? If you only receive them by boosting your team and your O-meter is already max out... I guess you're screwed...
PS: This event sucks. A lot.

actually evryone I know received the switch button, dunno what triggers the drop if it's totally random is also not clear(who knows what's actually behind this). I haven't heard of anyone winning a game from that drops anyway, so your team is probably not important.

Yesterday I had 100 points left to earn for boosts, so I let it be, figuring if I waited till another +100 to my cap, I'd waste fewer points, but I didn't end up getting extra cap. So today before the reset I did a 100 point boost and voila, +100 added to my cap. Maybe it's a glitch or maybe you don't get the daily +100 unless you're maxed out before reset? Either way this event continues to be a mess alright XD

I will shortly explain the sail. If anything is wrong or missing pls write it into the comments.
-What is a Grand Prix?
+Modded version of the Chinese new year event for Summer Sale 2019. Teams are competing with the amount of money they spent on steam.
-What is there to achieve?
+You can join a team to compete with. The winning team will receive 300 games, 2. place 200 games, 3. place 100 games; 600 games in total which are going to be distributed randomly in the teams.
-What is a boost?
+Boost is spending up to 1000p for your team.
-How can I earn points?
+You can earn them by completing tasks given by steam; achievements of games you already collected can be redeemed as points if you have enough O-meter capacity, the rest of your points will disappear.
-How can increase my O-meter points?
+You will get some O-meter point at the beginning related to your purchase history so far (from the beginning of the Lunar new year event), each day you will get 100p extra, and also while spending money you can increase your O-meter points.
-I have used my capacity and now it is on 0, how can I reset it?
+Your O-meter points won't reset, this to prevent people from crafting endless badges or getting an infinite discount. (My idea)
-So, if my O-meter won't reset how can I get more?
+Purchase more and more...
-How much should I pay?
+Don't waste your money into games you won't play to get a %0.00000000000000000000001 chance of winning the game you want. Buy what you want instead of trying to win it.
-What is a pit stop?
+The place where you exchange your tokens for wp, extra discount, badge and emoji for the chat.
-How to get tokens?
+Boosting your team will give you tokens in exchange.
-Which team should I join
+Since it is unlikely to win a game instead of joining the winner team join the 2nd because the winning game has more people participating the chance is very low to get a team; not that I believe that you can win. Instead, try joining giveaways on steamgifts.
Or join the team according to the badge you want.
-My friend spent around 50$ he got more O-meter capacity whereas I spent 500$ how is this possible?
+This sale is like Fallout 76. Bugs are everywhere. There are people with infinite O-meter capacity.
-Does Gaben care about the bugs
+Maybe, maybe not
Hope this helps a bit.
