So I have bought some Digital games from Amazon.com in the past, I don't live in the USA and used a USA billing address.

I used a Tennessee billing address and because of it I recieved an e-mail saying I have to pay some kind of tax because of Tennessee . Don't know how to explain but they told me about this link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=200909330.

Oh and, forgot to mention, it was a mass global mail for those who have a Tennessee billing address/gave gift in Tennessee or something like that.

Can someone tell me what is going on? :-?

You need to use a billing address from a state that does not pay tax on digital video game purchases.

Oregon is a commonly used one.

Also, keep in mind that you were not supposed to be able to order since you don't live in the US and you faked a US address. Comes with the territory I guess.

In these forums if Amazon is the question, 90% of the time Borderlinx is the answer.

Change your duff Tennessee address to a Borderlinx generated address which is situated in a state which does not levy additional taxes on digitally distributed software (Ohio)...

I use Alaska as my billing adress and I don't get taxed. I picked it first rank off the block before I found out about this tax. :D

Lesson here is... Do not commit fraud!
Giving a fraudulent billing address is fraud and you could be in serious trouble if Amazon bothered to investigate.
Their are plenty of services such as Borderlinx that provide you with a legitimate foreign billing/shipping address free of charge.
People need to stop being lazy and and giving random hotels/google hq addresses as their billing address.
