select the dropdown menu and start typing the game's name and it'll auto select the first game that matches that string (if you pause typing for so long it'll reset the search string, though, I think), usually typing the first three or four letters is enough, but if it's a part of a series I just type the first 3 or so and then open the dropdown and select the specific one (drop down will open starting with the currently selected item)
