Sleeping Dogs - Good/Bad?

definitely good, love this game :)

The game is like a GTA, but with kung-fu fights and lot of moves. It's awesome.

Liked it better than any Grand Theft Auto game I've ever played.

why did i not know about this sooner

I've spent a lot of time on the game and I loved it. There was only ever one thing. ONE thing that irritated the hell out of me. The auto-adjusting camera when you reverse/drive in vehicles. Holy shit that annoyed me. I had the camera auto-turn 350 degrees to get to where it thought it should be. Other than that the game is an amazing play.

As a Hong Konger, this game is absolutely fantastic.

It really is fantastic. I'm pretty picky about stories, so many games' stories do not interest me. I was hooked very early on into Sleeping Dogs and I fell in love with not just one character but the majority of the major characters. The story was beautiful. The twists were really well executed, and there was numerous that I didn't expect (I'm pretty good at predicting that kind of stuff). The story is easily good enough to make for a good movie.

So the story is excellent. The voice overs are excellent. Now, the gameplay. It's really good. There are lots of side missions. The combat and driving are both easily a lot better than any of the Saints Row or GTA games (as is the story, for that matter).

Though there were some side missions related to dating, and those were cut short, which was slightly disappointing, but not that big of a deal. It was pretty obvious that they were unfinished due to not making certain deadlines or something along those lines.

I firmly believe the game is worth full price, and I am crossing my fingers and toes for a sequel, which I plan to pay full price for. I say this as someone who very rarely buys a game that isn't at least 66-75% off. I highly recommend it. I've got 30 hours of gameplay with the main storyline and sub storyline completed and still some more content to finish.

Can anyone compare it to Mafia 2 please?
