Good! Think GTA with Batman-style combat set in Hong Kong.

It's quitea good game for me.

Main pros:

• Good story

• Enjoyable driving

• The camera is quite bad sometimes

• You might need a controller (And if you do so, please turn auto aim off)

• Not many guns

I am a GTA fan and I thought this game is not worth my time, but....
IT IS AWESOME! It's just .. epic. Played it 2 times head to back. Great story, great combat, great graphics.

Awesome game!

It's really good. The only GTA-like game I've finished, mostly because I usually get bored of them after a while. Not a case with Sleeping Dogs!

I liked it. GTA-ish, with a cinematically good story and lots of really well-done melee options.
I'm at 98.63% game completion (yes, the game tracks it to two decimal places...) -- not sure if I'll bother with 100% unless the DLC goes on sale for everything in one pack (the Triad upgrades are just slightly tougher than the Cop upgrades if you're not trying to get them ahead of time, so without the DLC it's tough (not impossible, just time-consuming) to max it.)

Downside: a few unfinished elements (most disorientingly, the "girlfriend" storylines (yes, plural...)), but on the whole, it doesn't detract too much from the experience.

I got it for free with my 7900 Series card purchase back in August 2012 (if only I had known that a couple months later I would have gotten Sleeping Dogs, Hitman: Absolution, and Far Cry 3 for free with the exact same purchase) and hadn't even really looked into it at all. It was free, so that price tag made me much more inclined to give it a try!

Let me tell you, I really fuckin' dug it. It's like GTA, but executed in a much better fashion. The counter system, shooting, driving, atmosphere, graphics (with high-res pack). I don't know, I really liked it. It was quite fun. I'd have played more by now, but goddamn, I get distracted and my game library keeps growing and I switch between a bunch of different games.

If you walk into it with GTA in mind, you will likely have a difficult time in the beginning. Clear your head and get in the game without prejudices/comparisons and you'll have a blast.

I played the game a lot, just after Saints Row: The Third, and the game is freakin' good, have a great emphasis in hand-to-hand combat, having a combat mechanic more like the two new batmans game, not as polished, but it's good, also this emphasis break a lot the common pistols and smg combat that this kind of game have, making some kind of unique experience. I actually recommend this game, and i think this price is great. Go for it.

I really like it. It has an interesting story. The combat is a bit meh, so is the driving. But in overall it's a good game and worth to experience.

How about the DLC?

Nightmare in North Point looks interesting, but most of the others are just oufits. Any of them worth it?

It's like GTA with marshall arts, it's pretty fun and a good game, I enjoy it!

Nice game, disappointing ending though. But a very nice game.

one of the best sandboxes that came out lately

The worst thing about it for me, was the story. I thought it would be more interesting or give you more choices with different endings. It felt very anti climatic by the end of the final mission. That being said, the game has some interesting characters and cool missions. Hong Kong looks great and the vehicles have NICE controls. I like the hand to hand combat (the guns suck although they sound awesome).

I really loved this game. I put 40 hours into it, and still enjoy playing it.

Loved it. Pre Ordered it and really enjoyed it. Lack of a lot of gun play was not a problem at all because the melee combat is really fun. It's very similar to Batman's combat so if you liked that you'll enjoy Sleeping Dogs. The cars also handle really well making racing missions actually fun.

Dumped 30+ hours into it, is really fun, but I wouldn't say it's worth more than 15-20€ (2 DLC's included).

It was worth it when it cost 4,49€

Unfortunately it runs like garbage on my system. I've been told it's a great game, but it's no fun to play when I get shitty FPS all the time even though I meet the requirements.

I didn't like it one bit, the physics feel strange, the driving is bad and I could not get in the story at all... I'm sorry to say it but the game really feels like a graphics polished 2007 game.
